Just a thought, but I have an iPod Touch 2 generation, which has WiFi, which I can use at work, I am able to check my email, and with different apps, many of which are free, I am able to Twitter, Facebook, LiveJournal, Documents, etc... No monthly fees, but of course it's not a phone, but neither are the netbooks.
It's small and really just perfect. Can carry it my pocket of my scrub top and not worry about it's size. Anyway, just a thought. ^_^
