Lovely cat. I had a Siamese growing up. Cat definitely had the right idea.
Sorry you had no power for 2 days. We lost power intermittently all day Saturday, it was impossible to work, so I read and got ready for it to go out for an extended period. We were lucky. Wind gusts did shake the building though...very creepy.
