I gave SGU ten chances and it doesn't hook me - to tell the truth I was thinking of a fanfic to kill the whole whiny gang off. And at that point I gave up and it wouldn't be on my interest list anymore. What me get on the barrikades are SGU-lovers who offent fans of the other shows (SG-1 and Atlantis). You can enjoy SGU, okay, but don't blame anyone who don't like the show. To answer the question: No, SGU isn't part of the franchise for me.
