wraithfodder*flails* Only wish Mississaua (suburb of Toronto) wasn't so friggin far away! Anyway, finally, Beast of Bottomless Lake is seeing some air time at a film festival.
The Mississauga Independent Film Festival is a celebration of diverse talent, from more than 30 feature films to a short written by by comedian Shaun Majumder (Mind the Gap) and The Beast of Bottomless Lake starring David Nykl (Stargate: Atlantis). July 7 to 11. Cinestarz Cinemas, 377 Burnhamthorpe Rd. E., Mississauga. $8; http://miff.ca/
Description of movie: Desperate for validation and his own taste of fame and fortune, Paul Moran - Cryptozoologist, attempts to lead an expedition to Okanagan Lake to prove the existence of the legendary creature, Ogopogo. His efforts go pear-shaped when instead of success, all that comes to light are his foibles and the blunders of his mismatched team of dedicated and not-so-dedicated adventurers as all their best laid plans sink in a sea of conflicting motives and incompetence.
It will air Saturday, July 10th at 7:00 p.m., so if you live in the area, go see it! :)
