Oh, Elyse, I'm so sorry to hear about this! Your love for that dog has come through so clearly in so many of your posts -- I can only imagine what you're feeling right now. Spend what time you can with him, and make sure he knows how much you care about him, while you still can.
While I haven't owned a dog or cat in over 20 years, I can still remember how devastating the loss of my dog, Wags, was all those many years ago.
