*snorts* I tried to give SGU a chance, but finally gave up after eight episodes. Honestly, SGU proved more interesting by reading the transcripts rather than watching the episodes.
At this point, I'm even more convinced that Torri Higginson's ouster was in part a test run for dumping SGA altogether. Wasn't one of the reasons BW stepped down as showrunner at the end of SGA S3 because he was already starting development on the SGU concept? I think in the back of their minds, they were already looking ahead to abandoning what they saw as an albatross to grasp at the shiny new pretty. Fortunately, most of us didn't drink that Kool-Aid.
Unless MGM gets a clue and replaces TPTW with people who actually respect the material and the fans, I'm afraid the franchise is just going to continue futilely spinning its wheels in that muddy ditch it got stuck in back in 2007.
