I agree with your comments on SGU. it was just too dark. physically. as mood lighting, it certainly helped kill my mood. and i also never really liked any of the characters. they weren't particularly likeable. and i really like robert carlisle. but i also didn't dislike anyone sufficiently enough to want to watch them being delightfully evil or in the hope they get what's coming to them.
