I was watching the pilot of Terra Nova, and when the portal came up, I thought " wow , what a huge Stargate!". And when I read the questions online about plot holes in the pilot, why can go only in on direction, but not back, only messages can be directed back to the portal" I thought, hey, that is because they have a ZPM only on one side, and "just watch SGA and you all get it" :-). The pilot was suspenseful, but I don't know how the other episodes will be.
