I'm so sorry for your loss. I was in a very similar situation with my own mother until she died in 2008, exactly one month before she would have turned 80.
I still can't believe it's been over three years now. And, um, I still haven't gotten anything completely cleared away, of the stuff she left. It feels so final, to do that.
