Glad to hear what's up with you -- congrats on the new equipment, even if it did break the bank. I wish we'd have some storms out here in Calif. Everything is bone dry, and weeds seem to be the only thing growing anyway.
I'm also watching Longmire and Under the Dome. Thank god for DVR since they're both on at once. I'm enjoying Murder in the First, if only because Malfoy is the suspect. He does a perfect American accent.
Sad to hear NYCC is as bad as San Diego's for getting tickets. I gave up going a few years ago, because hotel rooms are even more impossible to get than tickets.
I have an iPad and love it. I got a google notebook for my elderly Aunt. It's great if you're a google app user already, and cheaper. I think just about any tablet will let you answer email and read books or listen to audio books. Your requirements seem minimal :)
