I was hoping the previous info released was inaccurate... but this is the official release info, no? I can't understand not having A SINGLE actor on any of the commentaries. Now.. much as I like Martin and Martin and usually find their commentaries interesting... most people do watch the show for the people IN FRONT OF the camera and that's what people are interested in seeing/hearing more of. Yeah, not all the actor commentaries are great but they usually add a further level of interest for me.. with David Hewlett and Joe Flanigan being the best contributors. And, I'm sorry, but there is a limit to how interested I am in hearing a director explain how or why they filmed a particular shot a particular way. Yes, a certain amount of that stuff if okay... but not for the whole commentary. And do I really want to listen to the FX guy explain how they did the FX shots? Not so much...

What I don't understand too is the conflicting information... Ken Cuperus mentioned MONTHS ago on GW that he had recorded the commentary for Common Ground. I have to admit I worried when Ken disappeared abruptly off GW and never returned that he had had his knuckles rapped by TPTB for interacting with the fans without their permission/say so (particularly as well-intentioned fans began to complain when they heard Ken was leaving the writing staff (mainly due to staff from the cancelled SG1 being carried over to SGA - "last in, first out", as it were)) and this reinforces that fear... that they are now pissed off with Ken... maybe even to the extent of re-recording the Common Ground commentary without him? :/
