You know, the producers of SG-1 keep saying that, and it drives me insane. More accurately, they should claim, "The longest running AMERICAN sci-fi show ever". Doctor Who ran for over twenty years before it went into hiatus, and it's running again today. I could be wrong, but I think there are over 28 cumulative seasons on Dr. Who, not counting movies and TV specials like "Curse of Fatal Death"! SG-1 has nothing on that record!
