Stargate Atlantis at Dragon Con #3: Reports from fans + miscellaneous Stargate links

On the plus side, I did get to see James Marsters, the Mythbusters build team, Ron Glass and Mark Sheppard, and got some swag. On the down side, I stood in various lines for well over four hours and I didn't get to see anyone from Stargate or the Harry Potter movies. ._.;;  I really wanted Jason Momoa and Paul McGillion to sign my organic chemistry book, too. Oh well.

So in comes the panel- Corin Nemec, Christopher Judge, Jason Momoa, Paul McGillion, Lexa Doig, her hubby, Michael Shanks, Vanessa Angel, Claudia Black, and Alexis Cruz. Let me just say that this was the BEST panel I've been two. I've never laughed sooo much. Even if you weren't a Stargate fan- you would've had soo much fun. The only person who didn't say much was Vanessa. But then again- she was only in like three episodes of SG-1. Most of the SGers have been working together for 10-11 years. The Atlantians for 3 years. And Chris Judge really stole the show! He had everyone cracking up the whole time.

Next, my mission for Stargate. I met and took pictures with Michael Shanks, Christopher Judge, and Jason Momoa (who play Daniel Jackson, Teal'c, and Ronon Dex, respectively). All nice guys...Christopher Judge is funny as hell - was cracking jokes from the time I set foot in the lines and was still having fun when I left. Michael Shanks looks like he does on camera, but I was not expecting him to be so...fine. And Jason Momoa...damn, damn, damn!! This man's pictures do not do him justice, because he is absolutely gorgeous (and yes, I was practically drooling and am proud to admit that!! ) I mean, you've heard people joke about if they could have "one free pass" with a celeb? I think that man would be my free pass! And then, after we took our picture he told me I had beautiful hair! Okay, I was floating out of that place!!

The panel itself was good. I'll admit, I was a bit cranky from lack of food and the irritation of waiting in line forever, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I otherwise might have. I do have to say that everything I've heard about Chris Judge and Michael Shanks is 100% true. Those two just go back and forth, even when they're sitting apart from each other. It's a lot of fun. Jason Momoa is very shy, as I'd heard -- so cute!

--Stargate SG-1 Mega Panel with Michael Shanks, Christopher Judge, Alexis Cruz, Paul McGillion, Jason Momoa and others. We know for a fact Michael, Christopher, and Jason were completely drunk off their asses. When the moderator asked the panelists to answer the ice breaker question of "What did you have for breakfast this morning?" this was Michael's response: "Coffee. I like my coffee black, like I like my men."

My absolute without a shadow of a doubt favorite was Paul McGillion (Carson Beckett) from Stargate Atlantis. He was an absolute sweetheart (and he didn't even charge us to have my picture taken with him [a photo of the fan and Paul McGillion can be found on the main page of the account; to access gallery, you must log in as a MySpace user)
