Well, to me, the promo shots do sex up Carter (see shot right above). I guess that's just Skiffy's PR to attract the fanboys. However, I find it odd that Carter is the first character listed on the Cast page. Hello? Sheppard's the lead, always has been, and I sure as heck hope still is. For Carter supposedly being in a support type roll, the PR people don't seem to realize it. Yeah, Skiffy's 'shiny new toy' to push SG1 fans to watch SGA, but I wish they'd remember the fans who have watched SGA since day one. Sigh.

They've got to be playing up the "come watch, we've got Carter here, now, boys!" angle but whatever, like you said, so long as Joe's still the lead and I have faith that he is, let the PR do whatever they can because it's better than nothing, right?

There was a new add on during Dr. Who tonight. Sadly, my camera is currently in Iraq with hubby and I haven't bought a new one. The idea was for him to take the kodak that I hated and I'm doing all the legwork to find a nice new one to replace the one I loved (our sony mavica that hubby broke Nov. 2005). If I had the camera I would've done the video thing again but it was really short. Some new scenes and one where Sheppard is saying something that I can't quite understand.

They were always going to screw Joe out of the 'lead' position when she came over, IMO. It's just wrong.

They don't care about the fans who've watched from day one. They're more concerned about keeping the SG1 fans happy. As if 10 years plus the movies isn't enough.

OMG, I'm definitely going to find that Carter/McKay one and pull a Weir swaperoo. That pic is HOT and swapping things around allows me to continue to live in shipper denial. ;)

Is this a different group of photoshoppers? Could this be skiffy's team and the first were from MGM or something? The pics look far better here.

Oh, they forgot all about the original fans the day they wrote off Weir and Carson and brought in Tapping. We now know where we stand.

You know, I wonder how Tapping's presence in the new PR shots will influence many of my favorite SGA communities. All of them have such lovely banners with Weir- no sign of Tapping (a fact that I love). Will many of the communities make a change?

Heck, if there's even ONE icon of Tapping with the SGA group (notice how I don't consider her part of the group), I won't take it. Won't use it. Won't want it. Don't want her on the show.

Tapping is just a sign that the original fans mean nothing to the producers.

Huh, yea, and I noticed how 'miss can do no wrong, miss perfect Carter/Tapping' has her name above Flanigans in the list of cast members.

They're making a big deal on all the advert's about Tapping's coming to SGA so it really doesn't surprise me that she's at the top of the list.

And if SGA has better success this year than any other previous year? Tapping will proceed from miss 'can do no wrong' to god-like status.

It's a mixed bag of feelings over this. I almost, I repeat almost hope the show fails even with her there. Then again, I love Flanigan and well... it's such a mixed bag of feelings over this coming season.

You know, if they'd gotten rid of Weir and brought in some unknown, I'd've accepted that better. Some Russian or Chinese scientist, or something. Play up the diversity of the supposed IOA ownership of this expidition.

Anyway.. *shrug* The emotions war; excitement over next week vs desire for it to all go horridly worse for the stupid decisions being made this season.

I've learnt not to watch ads for shows, especially when whoever puts them together makes them seem nothing like the episode that actually airs. I'm going to leave the Amanda Tapping situation until I see an episode. It's probably not good to prejudge.

The Sci-Fi site just crashes my browser every single time. It completely grinds to a halt and won't do anything, it won't open or close tabs, I can't load in any other websites, the menus won't open and I can't even shut the browser down - I have to resort to ctrl+alt+delete.

And don't tell me that I should be using Firefox because I already am.
