My cat loves to perch on the modem like that (and try to chew on the corner of the laptop). What a pretty Siamese (or Siamese mix). My parents always had Siamese cats when I was little - with the exception of one Manx- no shortage of personality with them, and they loved to 'talk'. My current cat, however, is what they politely call a 'domestic shorthair.'
He's quite proud of that belly... :-p (Now I just gotta figure out why he's making messes elsewhere in the apartment! *sigh* Good thing I bought a mini steam cleaner when I moved out of my old apartment...)
What a wonderful picture! Your cat is very elegant!
Our cats have broken one mouse between them, disconnected cords, shut down the Uninterruptable Power Supply by walking over the off switch, and once fouled up the TiVo--we don't even know how they did that.
I think my hubby aka computer support guru would have a conniption if any animal ever sat on the computer monitor. We don't have any cats and our 60 some pounds dogs would not fit, but even if we did or they did, uh uh no way!!!
My one dog does like to push the mouse around though. He doesn't like screen savers and tends to wait until they come on, then moves the mouse.
Your baby is gorgeous! I agree he's not going to be happy when the flatscreen arrives. Truly gorgeous. He reminds of the two Siamese cats in Lady and the Tramp!! I keep calling your baby a he sorry, if your baby is a she!
What a beautiful, sweet kitty! He'll find some other place to lie happily after you get the flat screen. Maybe with his butt all rumped up over the keyboard. I had a cat that did that and, while I way typing, all of a sudden I'd get, like, 111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 'cause his fat ass was lying on the 1 key.
Well, right now he's under the gooseneck lamp with the old non-PC lightbulb that throws off heat. Like a sunlamp without the UV. He lives under it during the winter.

I hope you don't have these problems!
