Stargate Atlantis' January schedule on SciFi

Since someone asked, I went and checked. Scifi's schedulebott shows a nice listing for Stargate Atlantis for January. Besides getting new episodes on January 4th, we get a marathon that day(!) and the show starts strip syndication (Monday-Friday) at 5:00 PM, which is great, but since I work/commute, it'll be over before I get home. Fortunately, I have the DVDs.

Oh Yeah, in niormal synication now...Suprised at Harmony, thought Outcast was going to be #13.Done's surpise me, those don't have to show in any order.

Well, Skiffy said "Harmony" although I'd much rather see "Outcast" first myself.... and if someone who posted on another entry here (um, um, mind is blanking out) hadn't asked about the second half, I wouldn't have gone over to check out Skiffy's schedulebott :)

Yeah, Skiffy got a clue this year and decided to air all the eps in one swoop - no 6 month hiatus that has the fans going to the torrent sites to go get all the new eps that air in Canada and the UK. The only pauses are for US Turkey day and the X-mas/New Year's split.

About bloody time! :-p

So, we will see if we go back to a July start or stay in September. I kinda like the July start to give us something to watch during the summer months. :)

I know! That long break last season for both shows was really annoying and completely uncalled for. We know that they were already done with the episodes, they were airing in Canada and the UK all that time! >:( Torrents never even crossed my mind, I went to Youtube (before whichever company whined at youtube to remove them).

So I'm glad to see them airing all in one go. I'd much rather have a long break between seasons instead of a long break in the middle of the season when I know full well the entire rest of the season is already done and just waiting to be aired.

I was getting mine from a private FTP site before the owner went off the deep end and kicked me off the site. Now, I go ahem them directly in .avi format, which is smaller & crisper than what he was putting up on his FTP. :-p

And it was completely uncalled for. The eps were finished - we know from the past that they're done shooting usually by first week of October.

Skiffy was trying to be "smart" by doing the long break and in the end, it hurt them.

Ratings were down and the advertisers weren't making as much $$ and they complained mighty loudly to Skiffy about it. And, we all know how they listen to the folks w/ the "real" $$. So, when advertisers were unhappy, that seemed to turn on the little clue light they have for brains there. :-p

(Don't get me started on how far removed from reality Bonnie Hammer is! :-p)

The last first run episode of 2007 is on December 7th, and they resume with new episodes on January 4th, so it's a LOT less than last year (which was like four months or more). This is less than a month! :)
