Check out this live journal - http://pkabyssinian.livejournal.com/441423.html - which has culled just a few samples from a site about Jedi Master Chefs. Somehow, a fan has convinced a bevy of actors to don a chef's cap and wield a lightsaber for the camera... David Hewlett, Rainbow Sun Francks, Jewel Staite and Joe Flanigan (although he just posed with the guy in the costume) are in the mix, and they link to the main site of even more photos.

Oh my gosh, yes, check out http://www.jedichefs.com/celebrities.html - Kavan Smith, Paul McGillion, David Nykl,  Torri Higginson, Kate Hewlett and lots lots more!!

I hate you. Because I just spent the last half hour or more looking at every single photo on that site, even of people I didn't know.

I love you. Those photos rocked.

But my eyes hate you.

Heh, well, I just tripped over the link during a search. I spent too much time looking at 'em last night too.

I saw those guys (including the eye patch guy) at P3. Still not sure what is up with this little club, but any club with the Hew is alright by me.

Heh, the Jedi Chefs are a well known part of Brit cons and very amusing. I remember Peter Williams having a sword fight with them at around midnight in the car park of the Heathrow Park hotel one year. Very funny and wonderful how all the actors get into the spirit of it.

The Brit cons seem so much more relaxed than the US cons (of course, we mostly have Creations....)

I much, much prefer our cons to yours to be honest. We had one Creation con over here and it was the most soulless, lacking in atmosphere event I have ever attended. Yeah, everything ran on time and to schedule, there were no queues, blah, blah, but there was just no oomph to it, just going through the motions. Don't think they ever did another over here, way too expensive and just plain boring.

Give me a Wolf event with their Disco and I'm happy :-). Although I think my con days are long gone, they just don't seem to appeal anymore, not even Torchwood coud persuade me to go to one.

I'm spoiled by non-Creation cons and decades of attending all sorts of cons. Creations are events, not conventions in the true sense where you can hang around and party. And Creation, in the States, has tons of lines.

Saw the Jedi chefs for the first time at P2 in London and then again this year at P3 and they are very cool and funny (and their costumes and lightsabers are great!), but the whole club concept is also a bit weird. But I like it that they include all the actors and that there are so many photos of them on their website and at the con, too - there are always big posters hanging on the walls in the main hall with all the "Celebrity Jedi Chefs" (guess they are like honorary members) on them and one can see many familiar faces then! I saw some of the stars becoming members of the Jedi Chefs in the main hall at P2, but I missed David. Judging from the photo he had lots of fun doing it, that doesn't surprise me because he's such a geek (and nearly a fan like us) himself and likes cons and all that SciFi stuff. Compared to that, Joe Flanigan looks mighty uncomfortable on his pic, he probably thinks "What is going on here, who are these crazy people and what have I gotten myself into and no, they won't put that hat on my hair!" :D ;)

David looked very gung-ho while Joe is like "David never told me about these fans" type expression ;) Oh yes, mustn't cover 'teh' hair ;)

JCA644 here ;) Yes, the Jedi Chefs are excellent and do a great job at providing an amusing twist to conventions over here. I don't know about cook, but they seem to drink a heck of a lot of beer LOL

I remember seeing the one with Jason Momoa (http://www.jedichefs.com/jca/images/JCA442_Jason.jpg) ages ago. Didn't know there were all these other peeps having done it too.
