Rachel looks great, Jason looks bored, David and Amanda don't even look like themselves they've been so photoshopped and Joe looks mildly constipated. Yet its

You are right this is better than season 3 but still...it looks a bit weird. Rachel's arm seems very small. I think they photoshopped too many pics. The top with atlantis, the stars and water ripples is too much.

Getting Joe to look good really shouldn't be that difficult. You have to really, really work hard to make him look bad (or, you know, let him grow a beard). They really worked hard, huh?

This cover art is so much better, tho I can't help thinking that there are some people here on LJ who do manips and could do a better job at it. (Might be a little NSFW) =)

Well, the art is slowly improving. Perhaps should we get to season 10, it'll actually look like them and look awesome.

Rachel looks good, though her arm looks a bit wonky; Jason looks pretty good; Amanda looks little like herself - like she's sucking in her cheeks and doing some strange pose(there's so many better pictures of her, and they picked this?); David looks bored and a bit impatient, and Flanigan? He looks like he's got a belly ache/is annoyed/kinda pissed off.

As for the rest, they really should have skipped the ripples at the top and just stayed with the Atlantis skyline and the starts. They overdid it when they added the ripples. But the waves at the bottom were a nice touch.

Much better than the last one, though I agree Amanda looks a little odd.

I think Rachel looks most photoshopped, but then that's to be expected since I think I read somewhere he double did the photoshotos as she was already visibly pregnant (?)

Oh, look. Sheppard is right handed again. And McKay's mouth slants the right way now. His eyes look weird, though. And what's with Carter? It's like somebody told her to drop her jaw to hollow out her cheeks. And Teyla must be an alien with her three fingered hand. Ronon looks like he's topless, er, shirtless. Which isn't a bad thought.

What's that thing floating between Carter and Ronon? It can't be a cloud near a tower, is it? We never see those kind of clouds near Atlantis.

And as been mentioned before, why is everyone but Sheppard looking straight out?

So far, season 2 wins in the dvd cover contest. If only they had made Beckett normal sized. Your eye just fixates on him because he's so misproportioned on the cover.

Why is it so hard to make good looking people look good on these covers?

I like the colors. I agree with a comment I read somewhere else, it makes Teyla look like a mermaid!
