Lookee what showed up under the bird feeder last week!

The fox was not eating birds, but food we tossed out for the crows. I've seen it once or twice before, usually the backside of it running away as it saw the curtains moved, but this time I was able to get photos. Hmm, must wash windows....

I think that's a female fox. ;-) They're not as brightly colored as the males. Very pretty :-)

GReat pics!! You do seem to attract the wildlife! :D

The foxes here in London are getting bolder, we see them trotting about all the time. It used to be only after dark, now it's during the day too. In fact there's one i see every morning as i walk to work, just walks right on past without a second glance. And we had a young one curled up outside our fornt door. Which would be fine cept we live on the fourth floor!!

I'm really intrigued about the ones we see in the play area - i swear they're on the swings as soon as no-one's about...

Nice pics. I thought I would see a bigger variety of animals when we moved into "farm country" but sadly I usually only "squooshed" ones on the road, mostly skunks.

Lovely - we have foxes that use our garden as a route to other places - but they only ever come at night (and we only know because of the occasional quick glimpse of a fox heading up or down our driveway!). You're so lucky to be able to photo your foxy visitor.

Btw, is the zombie bambi all gone now?

EDIT - Chose the wrong icon!!!! It was meant to be the blackbird taking a bath in my garden...ah, that's better!!

Might be a cross-fox (part red, part silver). If the coat stays that way over the summer, I'd bet on it.

My parents used to have a silver fox that would come up to the porch - gorgeous animal. It would stay about 10 feet to them, and liked to be talked to. It would squint and knead its paws just like a cat. They suspect it may have been someone's pet that was just turned loose. Disappeared one day - they figure someone shot it.

How cute!! It's nice to know that it wasn't feasting on the birds that visit the bird feeder you have. Then again, only the fox would know :S

I didn't know there were actually wild foxes roaming surburban dwellings.
