Oh wait, this trailer does contain a few spoilers if you really look, plus, oddly enough, Elizabeth Weir, whom, to my knowledge, is NOT in any season 5 eps.

I could do a better photoshop job than that - and I don't have photoshop. I know we should expect it by now but I can't help but be pissed off by the total lack of thought and effort put into promoting the SGA.

I don't even photoshop, but the whole setup of the characters just make me cringe. It's just scattered. Heck, I say we turn the photos into Colorform stickons and play with them at this point ;)

Talking about photoshop, the person trying (and I have to stress the "trying") to photshop Joe Flanigan's face should be shot.
The guy looks great without needing photoshop and every single transformed picture makes him both uglier and freaky looking.

They shoudln't photoshop ANY of the faces. Why can't the skiffy folk realize that we like them for all their wrinkles and whatnot. Gads, I hated it when MGM (or skiffy or both) photoshopped the SG1 people into mannequins. I hated the shots so much I refused to even save 'em to my PC.

I can't tell ya how irked I am that they're using Elizabeth clips to bring in the Torri/Liz fans - isn't that false advertising? Using clips from S2? Pathetic :/

That picture makes me cringe. Ronon looks like giant. Why is Woolsey squinting? Joe looks a little spaced. Only David looks natural.
I am also amongst the little ticked off with the Weir stuff. But ... they own the rights to footage, and can morph it to fit anything they want. Right?

The fact that the one thing about SGA and SciFi that we can actually count on to remain consistent is the bad Photoshopping and the crappy promo commercials... is incredibly disturbing. *headdesk*

Last time I checked, there wasn't a staircase that descended *from* the Stargate*, so why is Ronon so tall and why are his shadows all funky and the lighting too dim? And why is Woolsey so short and squinty? And why does John look like he's trying really hard to hide the fact that his lunch didn't agree with him? And why does *Dr.* Keller look like she's about to rip somebody's head off?

Oh, and nice job with the Inspiring Ray Of Sunshine that reaches the *bottom* of Ronon's arm but *NOT THE TOP*.

On the plus side, Rodney looks natural (if less than pleased to be included in this travesty of a picture) and Teyla got a new shirt.

Christ, I could've done a better job than this with MSpaint!

*Since the Gate's angled, I figure it's on the steps to one side of it, but... which side? The gate angle's all wonky.

Maybe Skiffy for the next contest could post a couple cast photos and let everyone design the sseason's promo cast pics? Winner gets to do the following season's pics and spend a day on set - probably cost a lot less than whatever they pay their current people. (Of course they'd probably get some 'interesting' pics as well).

I'm not even gonna go into how livid I am about that trailer. HOWEVER (and I can't believe I'm saying this as I loathe TPTB), it's the SciFi channel's fault. THEY made the promo. And it's further proof that they don't even WATCH the shows they air. (A la, spoiler about the favorite doctor in the "Next week on Stargate Atlantis" crap last season...) They need to read their own damn forums.

However, having stared at that pic, I feel like I should be praying with Ronon-the-Forest Guru. O_o
