Hmm, another contest from SciFi.com for Stargate Atlantis

All you gotta do is visit the main SciFi.com page and you'll see the banner on top, or just click on http://www.scifi.com/atlantis/sweepstakes/. First, ignore the photoshopping disaster on David Hewlett's jaw. You looked? Ah, sorry about that.

Anyway, Skiffy is offering a contest for two people to the set of Stargate Atlantis and, ohmygawd, they're not forcing you to you to sign up on Skiffy (or not, as the problem has been for many years). I just entered, and it worked, so yes, everybody has a chance. It's open to legal US residents only, 18 years or older (sorry, that's how it works).

Seriously, whoever is the shmuck doing the Photoshopping needs to be fired. David Hewlett is fantastically attractive, why the hell did they feel the need to photoshop his face? That is so very deeply screwed up.

Pity the comp's only open to US residents. I'm assuming it's to do with the cost of air fares. Not that I'm well enough to travel to Vancouver anyway. I'm not sure how many hours that'd be from the UK, but it's something like 6 or 7 to New York - and Vancouver is like that distance all over again!

Still, you'd think it'd be open to Canadians, wouldn't you? Or are they now considered as part of the US - and if so, do they know this?!! 'Cos I don't think they'd like that somehow! *g*

OMG. Is that also the cover for Season 4? It sure looks like that's what they plan to put on it. Seriously, DH should throw a hissy fit. This is the last straw. When the first pics came out I hated them instantly but I thought it was maybe a mistake, then the "water picture" happened, not as bad on the faces but the rest was awful... and now that ? This... that... that horror, monstrosity, deformity, whichever adjective you like better.

So I wrote my e-mail to Joe Malozzi, because he's the only one I know how to contact. I told my myself I would not do it last time, but this is too much.

THAT'S IT! I'm moving to the US.
There are two downsides to living in Canada...
1)I can't get the new eps of SGA (cable provider does not carry Movie Channel either) and 2) I can't enter these contests.

Umm yes, but those "other sources" (if legislation is passed) will cost me a $20,000 fine per infraction (per dl) plus jail time. Pricy, pricy. Ahhh the things you will do for your favourite show.

Oh the upside, at least the release date for the DVDs are the same as in the US. Can't wait for Tuesday!! *sighs* the DVDs with the awful cover...
