They saved the best for last. No, wait, there's another interview coming tomorrow. But anyway, Joe Flanigan of Stargate Atlantis talks about getting pelted with pieces of wood in "The Last Man."

Stargate hunk's painful role

HOT Stargate: Atlantis actor Joe Flanigan had a painful experience filming the sci-fi series when he got pelted by pieces of wood.

The 41-year-old, who plays Lieutenant Colonel John Sheppard in the SG-1 spin-off series, had to suffer for his art when the producers of the show settled on an unusual way of creating a sand storm sequence.

He told The Sun: “They decided to use pieces of wood instead of sand so pieces of wood were hitting me. It definitely woke me up!”

Wow, they placed him a lot higher on the index page than normal for a "little-known" Sci-Fi actor.

Since it's a season 4 promotioanl stint, I imagine the only people left could be Amanda Tapping and/or Paul McGillion.
