 I was checking my usual bevy of Stargate Atlantis links, and clicked on David Hewlett's A Dog's Breakfast (or for me, dgeek.com) and found this horrific notice.

dGeek and adogsbreakfastmovie.com have been hacked/infected and I've been forced to suspend access to them. My apologies to all the fans, but this recent attack is more trouble than I have the skills or the time to recover from. I may be able to get something back up and running again once I'm back on hiatus in October, but honestly given this kind of stupid attack, it just might not be worth the headache and the heartbreak.

So sad. Honestly the Joomla software is so complicated compared to something like Wordpress, I guess it must have vulnerabilities. It might have even been a robot that did the hacking, just looking for ways to get in and add porn links or whatever. I hope it wasn't a person purposefully doing it :(

I wish David would reconsider and I'd be glad to help him if there were some way I could. I bet lots of web folks would be willing.

How freaking sad! Is there somewhere fans are gathering to commiserate?
