Well, I got my TV Guides, have been innundated with ads, and...

I should insert my icon of McKay with his 'thumbs down' grin...

Well, there are the usual inane sitcoms. Pass.

Dramas, my main meal... let's see, My Own Worst Enemy, about a guy who's a family guy and a government assassin. Ah, nah, pass. Tired of series where the lead protagonist has some serious morality problems.

I like Simon Baker, but have the feeling The Mentalist is toast. It's too close to Monk and other shows like that. And the commercials just didn't scream 'watch me.'

There's a chance Fringe might be worthwhile watching. I'll check out the pilot, since it involves people melting inside an airplane from some biohazard, and I'lll check out most biohazard disaster movies!

Knight Rider? Blech, pooh. The pilot sucked so much I turned away after the first twenty minutes.

Life on Mars? I liked Jason O'Mara in some spy drama he did a few years back, so may check it out, and oh, I think Colm Meaney (Cowan, SGA, Star Trek, etc. etc.) is in it...

The Eleventh Hour looks dreary.

Syndication-wise. I'll check out Sanctuary on SciFi, and darn, no new medical reality shows (like on Discovery, which apparently has split off into two channels, and the one that carries all the good medical stuff, of course, cable does NOT get. Grrrrr).

Oooh, The LIbrarian: The Curse of the Judas Chalice. New flick on TNT in December with Noah Wylie. Those films are fun!

Now, to returning shows. it's a given I'll  watch Stargate Atlantis till my DVDs wear out, so we'll move on to returning shows.

The Big Bang Theory. I watched it out of curiosity and these geek-sitcom is hysterical. I sooooo want Sheldon and McKay to hook up on some project, if just to drive everybody else insane.

Heroes. I'm a masochist. I'll check out season 3 after season 2 nearly derailed the show.  I can't even what's going on, but I'm sure I can wing it.

CSI: NY, CSI (Vegas), CSI: Miami. I'll watch 'em all, although I think CSI Vegas is on its way out and realistically, should go. Warrick's dead (99% sure), William Peterson is departing. It doesn't have the same excitment anymore.

NCIS. They had (expletive deleted) bring back the team!!

Law & Order (any), Without a Trace. I like these shows, but I catch 'em when I do, and it doesn't bother me if I miss 'em as they're all over syndication and that way, when I change channels if I'm bored, I may find one I haven't seen, a dozen or three times ;)

House. Oddly enough, I keep missing this. I can never remember when it's on, or it's against something else. It sorta lost me when they canned half the cast, so... I'll catch marathons and repeats on USA Network.

Pushing Daisies. Very cute but I hope it doesn't fall prey to second-seasonitis.

Supernatural. I keep missing. I just buy the DVDs and plan to do a Supernatural fest one of these years ;)

E.R. I'll will watch the episode where Luka leaves (if he hasn't already), Carter returns (I think Noah Wylie is in one) and the finale.

So, with the exception of SGA, there's nothing I need to watch 'live' (gasp! I'm one of those people who are now timeshifting tv viewing).

Wonder what everybody else thinks of the new season...

I'm not into much tv besides Atlantis. I will watch Eureka and we just finished Sarah Connor Chronicles. I am looking forward to Sanctuary.

Actually I am just hoping for something to grab my attention. I guess I really could go back to reading. I spend so much time on the internet playing now that I really don't read anymore.

Yeah, I've got this stack of books piling whispering "read me... read me...." Oh, forgot about EUREKA but that'll probably be done and over before I know it.

Oh. My. God. This show rocks!
Tonight's episode left me in stitches---a sick Sheldon makes McKay look downright stoic. Rodney would fit in well with these guys.

I'd kill a sick Sheldon if I got trapped in a room with him! ;) But yeah, could you imagine Rodney have these geeks as a team?

I'd kill him too. I'm not sure if even Ma Walton would have the patience to nurse that guy back to health.
These guys would be perfect for Rodney's team----Zelenka may not agree though! Imagine Sheldon offworld. Think about it.
I smell spinoff!

I watch Eureka, Ghost Hunters, but really look forward to the last episodes SGA and esppecially BSG (obviously). I am not at all too thrilled for Sanctuary. I give it a few seasons on the air, considering SciFi's history with new shows.

I love your icon, by the way.

I tried several times to watch BSG, never clicked. As for Sanctuary, I give it one, maybe two seasons, due to Skiffy's history. If they don't cancel it, they'll meddle with it.

Thanks. Made the icon off a Yahoo news photo of a tarsier :)

Re Life on Mars -- Colm Meaney's out. They recast all the roles except Jason O'Mara, the new Gene Hunt is... Harvey Keitel.

One hopes the final product won't be as stinkingly awful as the first pilot, but one anticipates that it will land with its own fresh stink.

I watched the pilot of Fringe at Comiccon, and it looks like it should be quite good, assuming that it doesn't do a Lost and try to be more complicated and secretive than in needs to be.

Sanctuary should be cool. Again, I'm assuming that the combo of Amanda Tapping, Martin Wood and Damian Kindler manage to keep up the good story lines they started in the webisodes.

Yeah, I get enough conspiracies in the news these days! I think I may watch Sanctuary more to see what SG actors guest star than the plot.

I love 'Big Bang Theory' - I have a couple physicists in my family. I'll give 'Fringe' a look, because it definitely looks interesting, as well as 'The Mentalist' because, hey, Simon Baker isn't too hard on the eyes. Not sure if I have the patience for 'Heroes' after last season, and I think I'll wait until the team is back on 'NCIS.' Can't wait for 'Chuck' and 'Bones' started last week.

I'm looking forward to Numb3rs and Chuck. As for My Own Worst Enemy, I got the impression from the preview that it was more of a Fight Club idea. If that's true it could be interesting.

I may give the first episode a try. I try to do that before totally writing off a show. well, except for reality shows ;)

I'm personally not interested in getting into anything new... except Dr. Who which just arrived today but at the rate I'm going, I'll have it all watched by the end of the week :D.

CSI:NY, Pushing Daisies, and Supernatural are my main squeeze in the "have to watch" department. Numbers - I like Numbers but I find myself slowly losing interest. They really need to do more with Don than have him sleep with people :P. Heroes is our big family show. The second season was a tad frustrating to watch, but I blame that on the writer's strike. I'm hoping this season has promise. Lost - that show nearly lost me (no pun intended) there for a while, but my curiosity was peaked during the last half of the season, enough to call me back.

I watch Numbers when I let the TV run in the background but never really watch it, if that makes sense. Oh, forgot Criminal Minds. A show I turn on while on the PC working and watch on and off. Lost totally lost me and I never went back ;)

CSI without Grissom might be doable. I liked when Liev Schreiber briefly replaced Peterson. Did you happen to see the movie Akeelah and the Bee with Laurence Fishburne? His intense character was wonderful and if he can pull that off on CSI, things should still be good for the show. And who knows, Warrick 'might' make just have a miracle moment. (If he's not in jail.)

As for NCIS...I peeked at some spoilers and the new team won't last long. Our guys will be back together! Thank goodness as this is my favorite show.

Oh good, glad to hear NCIS will get back to normal ;)

I loved Liev Schriber on CSI. Too bad they killed his character :( I just think, even though I'm a huge CSI fan, that CSI should end. End before it drags down horribly and is cancelled.

Ausiello (?) usually has the best spoilers if you can find them. From what I've discovered by prowling around all summer in search of NCIS clues, our guys don't have long to wait to get the gang back together. I love this show! (Especially since the SGA team is toast at the end of the season.) The trailer for the new season looks great!

Ooh, another The Librarian movie, I didn't know they'd made another, I'll have to remember to look around for it in December. Fringe sounds like it may have possibilities and The Mentalist sounds a bit like Psyche. :)

It's the third. I hadn't known till I opened up TV Guide. Yeah, Mentalist is CBS's Psych.

CSI: Miami for the bad Horatio Caine poses and stinky oneliners :D I can't help it. he's so baad he's good!
Numb3rs, NCIS and Criminal Minds. All the Law and Order Shows. Atlantis of course.
I don't know about new since I've just started watching an Aussie comedy program from 1992 called The Late Show. It's by Working Dog, who made The Castle and The Dish. I laughed my head off. They took the piss out of Presidential nominee Bill Clinton and his problem with women. When you think of the future trouble Bill got himself in, this is really funny.

Okay so here is how I feel- BLEH!

I think I have really only a few shows I'll check out and see if I like them.

Last season semi-sold me on(but it it technically still the 'pilot season' for):

Dirty Sexy Money- it was really funny to watch the hijinks on this show even if some of the story lines were rather predictible.

Private Practice- I *LOVE* Addison from GA(she was my favorite) so I love that they gave her, her own show. However wasn't totally sold on the other characters(especially Pete).

I just picked up House the other day(literally over the weekend) and am *completely* smitten with it(I think it'll become my SGA replacement in a way).

Beyond that? I got nothing. I haven't really liked NCIS since the end of S2, and S4 really turned me off. I watched a few eps last season but they are now basically recycling plot lines.

Tired of series where the lead protagonist has some serious morality problems.

You and me, both. If one more person points at a show where the main character is a morally bankrupt sociopath and tells me that flawed characters are interesting, I'm going to beat them over the head with the Illinois Criminal Code.

There's a chance Fringe might be worthwhile watching.

It wasn't. I didn't even make it to the end of the pilot.

The Eleventh Hour looks dreary.

There's a reason it only lasted 4 eps in the UK. I watched the first ep of the UK version because I like Patrick Stewart, but not even for him could I sit through the other 3 eps. It was a lot like Fringe, actually.

I heard that the season premiere of Heroes is going to be preceded by a one hour recap show to get everybody up to speed, which I think is a great idea. It's been a long time since the season 2 finale.

I'm going to try Sanctuary, but that will probably be all for the fall. I'm still watching Heroes, Eureka, Supernatural, Stargate Atlantis, Primeval, and Torchwood (whenever they get around to making season 3).

I made it till EUREKA came on and then turned off FRINGE.

Fall tv series looks dreary. I'll be checking more books out of the library!
