To some, Las Vegas already qualifies as an alternate universe, complete with alien life-forms.

But “Stargate: Atlantis” puts that description into practice at Planet Hollywood, spending Monday and Tuesday in front of the casino, inside the casino — and on the roof, where a stunt player will perform a nine-story fall.

I' not a fond of 'alternate reality' episodes, no more than holodeck episodes in Trek, because it's a waste. You don't get anything in the reality of the show, just a fantasy... and an homage (er, rip-off) of CSI as well. So does this mean Teyla's gonna be a showgirl or a hooker? Aieee....

If its an AU where Sheppard never joined the air force then surely Teyla and Ronon would still be in the Pegasus Galaxy. If he was hallucinating this then maybe they would turn up but he's not this is just a "a slightly askew version of Earth".

My guess is that Woolsey, McKay and Zelenka (who we have seen in some kind of control room) are still part of the Stargate program in this universe and suspect that there is a Wraith on Earth. Woolsey goes to see John under the ruse of being an FBI agent to find out about the murders and perhaps by the end of the episode this Sheppard has been recruited by the Stargate Program.

It seems likely we will see little or none of Teyla and Ronon.

Wouldn't it be cool, though, if Ronon weren't a Runner, but a Hunter? Then, maybe he can be tracking down this Wraith on Earth, too.

I'm not going to get my hopes up too high for that, though, since Jason isn't in any of the Vegas location scenes. :(

well i was under the impression that joe was the only actor who did go to vegas so maybe? if a wraith made it to Earth than it's more than likely Ronon and/or teyla made it to earth too.

I think Joe was the only one who went to Vegas this is the only "Sheppard" focused eppy of the season so I doubt we'll see the rest of the team there. I really wish the only John focused eppy wasn't some a AU and not a character driven one like "The Shrine" or "Broken Ties"..oh well. It looks like fun :D
