First, just read on a trade magazine that SciFi (aka Skiffy) is spinning off Ghost Hunters: The College Edition. Yes! We can now have a bunch of college students, who probably should be studying for future employment (unless of course, they're majoring in finance, and well, that market is toast). Sigh, just how many 'ghost hunting' shows do we need??

Oh, and ER may get extended to 22 episodes instead of 19 episodes for its final season.

Oh, oh, LiveJournal entry recommendation!  Check out forhttp://shaddyr.livejournal.com/221377.html for a fun action figure story featuring Sheppard and McKay visiting Bridge Studios!

Gah, the cat just chewed a hole in his butt again (anal glands). This has happened a few times before and if it doesn't heal up by the weekend, it's off to the vet to get pills he hates. But 9 times out of 10, it seems to heal okay on its own. Oh wait, was that too much information? The joys of a being a cat owner.. Also had to mow part of the lawn to get rid of the leaves, and noticed, oh, Zombie Bambi's remains are still on the log pile. Thinking of perhaps using the skull for a Halloween door decoration...

And finally signed up to do the New Jersey Creation Con (Cherry Hill, NJ, Nov 7-9) Stargate convention (David Nykl, Jason Momoa, Kavan Smith and others and I could so hope they sign up someone else like Joe or David, but probably not). Anyway, big chunk of change but figure, my last hurrah con-wise as I don't see doing much next year since I must replace the aging duct-taped car...

A woman in Tokyo, who was divorced by her husband without her knowledge, got totally pissed and then went and killed her husband, and the police arrested her! I mean, really? Why? You see, she didn't kill her actual husband, in fact, she killed an avatar in an online game and they arrested her (the guy who made that avatar complained to the cops, who busted her and took her 620 miles to another jail!). Aieee, weird. They're charging her with hacking or something. Wow, those online games are *tough*.

And then there's William Shatner's YouTube video ranting on about George Takei. Aieee....

Just checked over at http://nbcumv.com/scifi and they've got a press release out on it. It's a pilot, so far, so maybe they'll be smart enough to let it fade away...at this rate, they'll have Ghosthunters: Las Vegas, Ghosthunters: Miami, and oh, wait, that's CSI... ;)

LOL I can see that happening, sadly.

Don't forget..Ghosthunters: Atlantis! :-)
Gah! What is it about SciFi and going after the younger crowd!? First they cancel SGA to bring up SGU for the younger audience and now this...man, am I ever feeling old and useless!! I guess I will just have to take my old unwanted demographic self and spend my time and money somewhere else!

I think the problem is that 'older' folk tend to be a bit more discriminating in their tastes. THey're not going to waste time on a show they don't like, whereas younger people just might. I'm not sure, plus, younger people will spend more money more indiscriminately on impulse purchases and hey, that's what the advertisers want!

Oh, forgot to add this: why does your cat do that? That is one of the worse smells from a cat. Ick.

The glands can get impacted. I asked a vet about this once. It just happens for some reason, and I usually never know until he sits down and leaves a bloody buttprint on my pillow (eeeeuuu). And no, it doesn't smell at all.

Ick. I have woken up to hairballs, poop, rats and roaches on my pillow all thanks to my cat, never a bloody buttprint.

not terribly bad. we're talking a tiny hole that seems to be healing and he seems to be doing well. i'm honestly not sure if all cats get this; and oh, he's 12.

I've met jason, david nykl, but never kavan, so he was the main draw. yes, one can dream Joe will attend but since he's doing the Vancouver con in a few months, sigh... darn.

Enjoy the con! (I so wish I could go - some of my buddies from the Jason Momoa official fan forum are going to be there as well, and THAT was the main draw for me...) Oh, I hear Kavan is a lovely man to meet in person.

Sounds like a good lineup and I guess JM and Kavan are on the con tour gig since they'll both be in Burbank two weeks later. Kavan is very sweet (and can tell some fun/raunchy stories).

I can't believe I'm offering cat advice, because I'm SOOOO not a cat person...but a couple of times a year I take my son's cat to the vet for a bath--yeah, laugh it up, I'M NOT giving her one!!! As part of the bathing ritual the brave lady cat-washer does something unmentionable to those pesky anal glands and has so far saved us the agony of bloody catbutt impressions *eww*
