Sigh, Michael Shanks cancels con appearance

Crap. First Joe Flanigan cancels out (and Creation STILL hasn't bothered to note this on their site, sheesh) and now this

Michael Shanks unfortunately had to cancel his appearance due to a film role taking place overseas. We congratulate Michael on this new job and look forward to seeing him at the rest of the tour! We've already booked TERYL ROTHERY (Dr. Janet Frasier) and are working on an additional guest as well to fill Michael's space on our schedule. Those that ordered photo ops with MICHAEL will have their credit cards credited back. Those that have order separate autograph tickets with Michael can use those as "cash" at the convention or get a refund by sending them back to us after the convention at Creation Entertainment, 217 South Kenwood St., Glendale, CA 91205. ATTENTION: TICKETING

If Jason bows out, I'll scream bloody murder.

I'm really feeling for you Elyse. That totally sucks.
I have two friends who are also attending...not sure if they are aware of the cancellation yet but they'll no doubt be peeved as well. Fingers crossed that Jason is still attending! *hugs*

I realize actors can cancel out, am glad Michael is getting work, but it sucks big time. THe one chance I get to see both Joe and Michael and they both cancel out (not that Creation has even mentioned that Joe isn't attending - they removed his picture and didn't say why - it's a lousy way to run a business).

I am looking forward to seeing Jason and I guess, the rest, but Joe and Michael were the reason I sunk the $$$ into this con. Looking forward to seeing fans too (although Mediawest*Con is THE con to see fans).

Making some headway. After leaving voicemails and emails and getting no response, a nice fan who had a problem too sent me the email she'd gotten from someone at creation, so I wrote there. Got a reply back in 10 minutes!!!! they're looking into it so hopefully I'll have my money back before this weekend. Really screws up the credit card otherwise.

But, still no Michael or Joe. sigh sigh.
