First, you can send a Valentine on your favorite CBS show at http://www.fridaynightlove.com/ - Flashpoint or Numb3rs.  Here's one of the Flashpoint ones. Okay, I find sending Valentine cards with guys with guns in the pictures to be ... odd... but hey, I'll take the photos :)

Also, Chicago Tribune entertainment columnist Maureen Ryan pointed out this hysterical video of Darth Vader and a bunch of stormtroopers dancing to Michael Jackson's THRILLER (at the 3 minute mark) at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkTQwP2gFxU  I had no idea they had Star Wars dance-offs. So much more fun than Dancing with the Stars!

Remember I said Comic Con was crowded? You can see a picture from above of the seething hordes ;) at http://www.usatoday.com/life/people/2009-02-08-comic-con_N.htm

Maureen Ryan is a hoot & is such a great sci-fi fan - it's hard to believe we have someone in the mainstream media who pays attention to fannish things.

Oh and speaking of Chicago:

Watch what a pair of longtime co-workers, who just happen to be news anchors do in their off-camera moments. *g*

Flashpoint is worth watching - I do enjoy it.

Oh, Mo does great reviews!

*snort* Those tv anchors have too much fun at their job. wish I worked in that kind of environment.

Yup, Flashpoint is definitely worth watching.

Loved the star wars vid!! Too funny. My favourite was Chewie and the Jawa though - so cute. :D

At least you had the right venue for it. There were 10,000 people at Anime Central the year I went in a venue that would probably more comfortably serve half that size. The hallways to panels and the throroughfare in the dealer's room were completely impassible most of the time. There was even somebody with a clicker managing the number of people in the dealer's room so it wouldn't violate the fire code for occupancy. I've never had to wait in line to enter a dealer's room after it opened before.

Ooh, that sounds far too tight! Yeah, they had to move the con to the Javitts center as the hotel they'd used a couple years earlier was too small. think that's as big as it gets in NYC.
