Cuz opening up the newspapers is so... yech... these days, here are some links to cute things...

http://snuzzy.com/ - Just full of cute little animals. Larger size pictures of the incredible cute tawny frogmouth chicks from Seaworld, and a margay cat that is.... oh, so adorable!

Then you can buy cuteness - http://www.squishable.com/ - these are well, big squishable plush toys. I saw their booth at the New York City Comic Con and went 'oh!' and wanted one but gah, too much to drag home on the subway and train, plus I could mail order, and probably still will.

And of course, the trusty http://www.cuteoverload.com/ - with more cute critter pictures :)

The news is dreadful. Alas, that chimp story is my neck of the woods so it's saturating the news here.

Yes, snuzzy is nice, and yeah, the margay eats other critters but it's still so cute. So is my cat, and he eats mice :)

AND snuggleably squishable.. but alas my poor college student bank account can't take the strain. :) Maybe this summer at the next con I go too. I have some money set aside for Shore Leave, and Otakon (anime) where I saw them for sale the first time around. I'll just have to hold out hope that they have some in stock by then!
