First, got my copy of James Swallows' Stargate Atlantis novel, NIGHTFALL. I ordered direct from www.stargatenovels.com, and recommend it for orders. Sure, you pay postage, but they're ahead in shipping compared to Amazon, etc.

And, www.BigFinish.com ... more details on the new SGA audiobooks.

(Duration: 60' approx)

CAST:  Major Evan Lorne (Kavan Smith), Dr David Glennie (Nicholas Briggs)

SYNOPSIS: "I've painted this city from every angle - inside, outside, day, night. I suppose you could say I'm trying to tell its story."

Plagued by blackouts, painting strange pictures in his sleep, Major Evan Lorne begins to fear that he's losing his mind. Has the stress of life in the Pegasus galaxy pushed him over the edge? Then, when Atlantis itself begins to behave strangely, the Major wonders if something else entirely is going on. But with his behaviour becoming increasingly erratic, who can he trust? And can the soldier convince his colleagues that the answer lies in his paintings?

Since I'm currently broke, I'm going to have to wait to get Nightfall anyway, but I want to see what others have to say about it. I don't realy trust TV show novelizations, even the SGA ones (which, thus far, have been pretty good but then I've only read three). Most of the novelizations (for other shows) I've read always end up being mind-numblingly boring, either too focused on politics, being confusing or whumping OCs no one cares about.

It's jaded me a little toward 'em:P

Nah, can't blame you. I stopped buying Trek novels eons ago because of that. SGA come out so infrequently I don't mind buying them sight unseen, but I don't buy the SG-1 ones.

That audiobook sounds awesome! It's like a fanfic coming true! And Lorne is just... swoon-worthy.

And the other two will be read by Paul and David? Cool. Even though it would have been nice to get some new characters - like Jeannie or Chuck or Bates or Cadman! You know, just to keep it more diverse. But the previous two audiobooks with Paul and David were really good so I don't mind at all :)

I immediately ordered Nightfall too. It's on its way to me, but living in Central Europe, I need to wait a bit for it :P

I need to get on ordering the Audiobooks *sighs* but I just haven't had time. I'm a little hesitant about the new David one though as while I liked the last one it just didn't *click* for me. Then again that may of had more to do with WHERE I was listening to it and HOW than the actual story.

I tried to order Meltdown last night and the site just kept asking me to log in over and over. It wasn't saying my login was invalid, it just didn't seem to want to add anything to my cart. Very aggravating.
