Q: Do you know if Amy Jo Johnson is leaving the show "Flashpoint"? Her character was shot a couple of weeks ago and it seems her spot on the team is being replaced by another female.

March 5 2009 - IGN Goes Shooting With the Stars - An IGN Editor joins cast members from Numb3rs and Flashpoint to find out what it's like to fire a submachine gun. … March 5, 2009 - When I was hired as Editor for IGN TV, I didn't realize the job would ever require me to shoot a submachine gun. But recently, that's exactly what my morning consisted of, as I attended a very unique press event for CBS's Friday night hits Flashpoint and Numb3rs. With the former centered on the Canadian SRU (similar to a SWAT team) and Numb3rs centered on the FBI, the day consisted of getting a bit of the type of training actors playing law enforcement agents go through – which is often the exact kind of training the people they are portraying also go through.  In attendance with us were Flashpoint's Enrico Colantoni and Hugh Dillon and from Numb3rs, Aya Sumika, Alimi Balalrd and Sophina Brown. Q: I would like to know if the series "Durham County" is coming back for another season. I was hooked from the first episode and would hate to see such a high-caliber show get dropped. --Cheryl Wilson, Kanata, Ont.

A: It is indeed. The series -- which starred Hugh Dillon as a troubled police officer who moves his family to a strange suburb and ends up living across the street from a serial killer -- was a major critical and audience favorite when it aired on The Movie Network and Movie Central in 2007. Season two is expected to air on the pay-TV networks in the late spring or summer of this year.

You know, I had never heard about Flashpoint before you started writing about it. But Jessica Steen's involvement (although it seems only temporary?) got me curious, and that Dillon guy does look kinda interesting, and now I've spotted Peter Outerbridge in one of the screencaps (short hair, yay!)... Hmmm, I may have to give this a try. *g*

Yeah, Hugh Dillon is fascinating. I went back to look at his old music videos and went wow, this is the same guy?? (just search for Hugh Dillon - Headstones - on YouTube. He was a punk rocker - hard to believe, eh?) Oh yes, Peter Outerbridge next week! :)
