Kavanagh Dies! *cough*

Well, the odds are stacked against him ;) Ben Cotton, who played Kavanagh, probably the most reviled character on Stargate Atlantis, is in the cast of CBS's limited run series HARPER'S ISLAND. Anybody who has seen the ads knows that someone dies in every episode. He didn't die in the pilot, so he should be in the second episode. He plays Shane, the Townie.

My bets are on the older characters first, so Richard Burgi is bound to get knocked off soon. But I am very much enjoying seeing him as long as he lasts! And I am LOVING Ben Cotton.

Ben Cotton's character works as a fisherman along with his buddy. The whole deal is the rich kids and the really lucky kids leave the island (or only stay for the summer if you're rich), the poor kids are destined to work the docks for the rest of their lives. He really really hates the suicidal brother of the groom and has gotten into a bar fight with him already (the series is set around the wedding of a poor son and a rich daughter). He has alot of tattoos and he is pretty. And that...just about sums up what we know so far ;)

The pilot bored me to death so I turned it off. But now that 11th Hour is off the sched, I'll tune in, or at least record and speed to his bits ;)

Oh, sorry about that. I sure hope I never have to post about the passing of any SG actor! Nah, just his character. I mean, those Harper Island ads (which are now soooo annoying) basically leave you with the impression only the lead and his gal pal will survive. I should tune in this week before Ben Cotton's character gets bumped off.

SGA had several great quirky characters like Kavanagh, Biro and Novak, I really wish they would have used them more!
A story told from Kavanagh's point of view would have shed a really interesting light on our heroes!
