This was a fun thing to wake up when I did my quick Google search!

EXCERPTS:

April 28 2009 article on CHELSEA HANDLER, who has a late night talk show...

Instead, she gets her guests to open up and sometimes makes them uncomfortable. Handler managed to make Snoop Dogg, the epitome of mellow, squirm in his seat when she asked whether meeting his wife in high school was like "a Jamie-Lynn Spears hookup."

Or take "Stargate Atlantis" star Joe Flanigan, whom she put on the spot. "Do you know that you're good looking?" she asked him as he visibly blanched. Handler then praised his ability to be a convincing actor given the subject matter, "because acting like you're on a spaceship is kind of ridiculous."

REST AT LINK ABOVE

Wow, I remember that episode (in fact, it's still on the DVR!) Anyway, it was the first and probably last time I'll watch that show unless an actor I really like goes on it. She's such an, er, um, idiot? THe whole show is based on just how rude can a person be, basically.

I recently saw that one on YouTube. She's obnoxious. He really looked like "WTF did I sign up for this for?"

Or is thinking of what to say to whoever stuck him in that spot (probably someone at Bridge)

I remember watching this a while back. Instead of making her guests feel comfortable so they will share tidbits willingly, she seems to take a lot of pleasure in making him very uncomfortable. Poor guy. He should have said "Oh yes I know I am good looking, at least better than you". o_O

I hate her! She's neither attractive nor intelligent.

I remember this! 'Visibly blanched' indeed; I even cringed for him. Didn't she go on about his wife/marriage as well in a weird pushy kinda way?

Poor Joe! He handled it as well as can be expected. Loved when he just tossed the DVD box set on the table and practically said they 'made him' bring it for her. *snerk*

I'll bet she just had him on there because she thought he was hot. Which...okay, at least she's got good taste in something She still makes my skin crawl.

How funny they picked his appearance as an example. Wonder how most people react to her rudeness.

He couldn't sit still, looks like he wanted to run for his life! The story about him not wanting his kids to play with Britney's kids was cute though.. I have to agree!

I caught the youtube version of JF's appearance - I think he handled it as best he could. I just can't believe people watch her show with her type of attitude. It's almost as if she want to provoke a reaction in the most negative way possible.

JF would be fun on Colbert or the Daily Show - I think he can give as good as he can get.

Evidently quite a few people like her bitch brand of interviewing.
I don't and felt so sorry for JF for having to endure her. He's a trooper, that's for sure!

I remember seeing that and just felt JF's pain. You could tell he so didn't want to be there. But as usual, he handled himself with class, so the joke was on her.

I wouldn't watch her again if someone offered to pay off my house. She's classless, rude, unfunny and ignorant. (Now, ask me how I really feel about her!)

Ahhh...I remember that evening.
It was painful to watch...is she REALLY that obnoxious??? And gets PAID to be so??

But I had to giggle when she asked him that. How could he not realize his...indefinable something or other? MEOWR!

Yeah, it's remarkable she gets paid to be like that!

Joe did very well, considering.

i remember just cringing at her comments about sci-fi, cons and sci-fi fans. she came of as ignorant. she acted somewhat superior, like she was the cheerleader and anyone associated with something like Stargate ate at the outsider table. i think that's why she blurted out about him being good looking. i think she went with the stereotype and wasnt expecting the hotness that is JF

Yeah, she did remind me of a cheerleader I knew way back in school ...

I saw the show as well...she is a nit when it comes to her guests and putting Joe on the spot like that when he is so shy about himself is just WRONG!!!

It's just wrong to make people squirm for the sake of lame entertainment, which is what most 'talk shows' are ..

I don't get the appeal at all - lowest common denominator? I watched for Joe and that one show was more than enough.
