I know it's been said but what in the world is Robert Carlyle doing in SGU? Why? It's not even like he can get a Green Card because it's a Canadian production. It's as if he's following the career path usually only followed by the Bond film girls. LOL (Sorry, sorry, I actually like the guy, not enough to watch SGU but I like him.)

I think he's just doing something different. can't recall what he's said in interviews, but some actors (like Gary Sinise) have done tv shows for the stability since they've got kids, and movies take you away for months at a time. Just a guess.

You're right of course and I believe he has little ones at home. It's just seeing his TV listings as opposed to the 'get me out of here I'm a celebrity' business, I couldn't help thinking it was like all those shows where we used to see great movie actors from the past doing guest spots, like Love Boat. LOL

Yeah, I know the feeling. You've got actors who can do so much more doing TV or lesser flicks and the problem is, there's just so much dreck written these days. One drecky scifi flick probably pays the mortgage for a year! ;) Heh, Love Boat, yeah, that's starting to look really good compared to what's out there now! ;)

Or Fantasy Island; they'll probably remake that next. What goes around comes around - maybe we've returned to the seventies when it come to TV? We've already had the Battlestar remake and Flash Gordon. It'll be Twiki with an attitude and Buck Rogers soon. LOL

I shudder at all the remakes as only 1 out of 20 is even passable to watch. S&H, Miami Vice, gah, awful. They're going to do A-Team, Magnum PI. Fantasy Island would probably be R-rated! ;)
