Nothing much to report here except - I mowed the lawn. Yes, my big accomplishment. I was there going 'mow lawn? paint house?' gah! Trouble is we've had ten days straight of rain so the lawn was tall, and although I have to paint house, I also had to mow lawn, so I mowed lawn. Despite the day being dry, the grass was still wet. My one hand is still green-black sorta from constantly unclogging bottom of lawnmower.

Meanwhile, I'm still destroying brain cells by watching Lou Diamond Phillips in NBC's game show I'm a Celebrity. I don't think I'll be watching any more game shows unless I'm sick or an actor I really like is in one. Luckily I saved some brain cells (snort) by continuing my Kung Fu: The Legend Continues marathon. Just finished the first season. My god, the ads are hysterical, cuz they're from '94 or so and well, the hairstyles, etc. Plus, one ad for Nintendo(?) going on about the mega "64 bits!" of memory. Bwahahahah! And you could get a fully loaded premium car for just $15K. Ah, should have bought a car then. No, wait, I already had (a few years before - and still have it. Duct tape, I love you.)

So, off to work and gray rainy day. Not the time to give up coffee. Don't think green tea packs the caffeine like coffee but I decided I didn't care for coffee much anymore and I had this green tea I should drink up.

I love mowing lawns. There's something about the noise and the smell of freshly cut grass that's just...what's the word...relaxing. Unfortunately where I am now, I have no lawn. So I'm kinda jealous.

I don't mind mowing lawns, unless it's HOT and humid outside, then, yech, but otherwise, yeah, the smell of fresh cut grass. Something very relaxing about it...

I was watching my Kung Fu: TLC tapes and saw an ad for the World Wide Web. It was hilarious! "You mean I can buy flowers from one state and send them to my mother in another?" The hairstyles! Oh, cheesy TV, how I miss you.

Oh yes, and the eyeglasses(big and round). I'm glad I didn't take the ads out now. And cars. Nobody drove SUVs. Ah, a simpler life without idiots in SUVs...

And no medicine commercials! Nowadays you can't watch TV without having some pharmacy pushing a pill at you, but there weren't any back then. Ahhh, the good old days when people drove small cars and only took meds they needed.

Yup. NOw it's Cialis ads left and right, and other drugs, and there's a pill for everything (and the drug companies will invent a problem if they can sell a 'cure'!) Yeah, small cars, or just cars you could actually see around.

Kung Fu: TLC? YOU too, WF? No frackin' way!!! :) I can't believe I'm NOT the only one who knows of it anymore. Many know of the original 1970s show (obviously!), but many also know NEXT TO NOTHING of its syndicated spinoff/continuation, or even that one existed in the first place...

Did you/are you watching it only for the DH/Mickey's cameo/supporting-character-ish gig tho? Don't deny it! :D *grin* I had SUUUCH a crush on Peter Caine/Chris Potter tho back then. :D Something about the fact that he's Canadian in RL, just like DH is, is my guess.

I swear tho! I'm going to wind up marrying a Scottish (David Tennant, James McAvoy) or Irish boi (Joe Flanigan and Robert Downey Jr., technically...wat? *innocent look*) or a Canadian guy (Michael J. Fox, David Hewlett, Chris Potter).

My "man type" and ALL of my crushes can fit into at least one of those categories! :D *is destined for Europe or the Great White North*

~your pal,
Sharma

PS Good luck with the rain results! That's gotta BLOW! :(

Oh yes, big time Kung Fu: TLC fan. I've got it all on tape (well, still trying to find "ANcient Love" episode - it's here somewhere) and yup, CHris Potter! :) Still enjoy watching him when he pops up in movies that show down here in the States.

It was a fun, if not hokey, show and I really hope TNT reairs it, as they'd shown it after original airing on PTEN (now UPN or whatever they call it) and heck, I want it on DVD!
