MGM has updated their Stargate Atlantis / SG-1 / Universe site

Ah, the new and improved version has arrived: http://stargate.mgm.com/  The site defaults to Stargate Universe, but Atlantis and SG-1 material is easily found. I poked mostly in Atlantis and unless I get a few weeks paid vacation and nothing else to do, it's gonna take a long time to get through the site with all the videos they've got loaded!  The only thing I don't like about the site is the flash player crap which makes saving photos with a right-click of the mouse impossible. Darn, plus anything with Adobe is a hassle. It's very possible that if you have a lower version of Adobe, you may have to upgrade to properly use the site. but otherwise, soooo much to look through!

I just saw a post from the site designer saying pics can be saved, but you have to click on them to expand it to full screen first before you can save it.

So it's possible, just not easy. ;)

I tried checking out the site and for me, the SGU and SG-1 tabs are working, but not the Atlantis one! Grr! Oh, wait, there are links at the bottom of the page. Those work.

Heh, Rodney McKay is the first tag on the list. But why is Caldwell second instead of Sheppard?

On Rodney's page, Brain Storm is the first key episode for Rodney. Oh, please! Trinity should rate higher than that! And why is Submersion listed? That's more Teyla's episode. Maybe they meant Grace Under Pressure? And what's with the action figure pose? Oh, I see Sheppard and Ronon have the same kind of pose. Can't see Teyla's photo though. I can't read Rodney's character and About info or see the thumbnail for Miller's Crossing.

All the pages have "Error on page" messages for me. I can't see half of what's on each page. I can't figure out how to navigate to the Atlantis photos. Maybe I need IE8. I was resisting until it was out for maybe a half year before I upgraded.

Sigh. Am I the only one with problems because my poor backward laptop can't handle their site and my poor mind can't figure out how to navigate it?

Try clearing your cache first? You might also have accessed it at a peak time, as when I looked at it when I first found it (lunchtime) it was smooth, but slogged last night.

tee hee! I never thought I would thank Microsoft - but I have Vista Home Premium SP2 and IE 8 and I can right-click to save :-))))))
