Winter Photos

Just downloaded the digital camera, so decided to share a few photos...


Sunset, taken in parking lot in mid-January 2010. Just gorgeous colors.



Shot through a rainy car window, pigeons just settling in on the wires.


Frost that built up on a door windowscreen.


A snowy, wet commute, as evidenced by blurriness caused by melting snow in car side window. Interestingly, all these photos were shot in color, but they turn monochromatic in winter. I like the red brake lights in the picture.


Another angle.


Lastly, fuzzy sunset shot, which I liked for the colors and the way the parking lights turns into little V-shaped images.

Beautiful sunsets. It's probably just as well I don't live up there, though: I assumed you'd switched to black and white until you commented! I don't think I'd live well in a grey-toned world for long.

WInter can be beautiful, well, for a short while, then it's cold, messy (salt, sand) and expensive (heating oil!) I think when I retire, or can't afford this area anymore, I'm going south!

Nice pics, especially your frosted screen Christmas tree! The birds on the wire pic made me think of Pixar. The contrast between winter whites and warmed red sunsets are like night and day!
