Some winter photos

Took these today with the snow storm we had, which gave us about 8" of snow, I think.


Snow accumulated on tree branches.

 
A 'snow cave' of snow-encrusted yew bush branches dangling pretty low.

 
The ancient cherry tree which is splitting, but still gorgeous, even in snow.

 
Just a snow marker with snow atop it.

LOVE that cherry tree one. That is the best thing about snow. It does give you some great pics.

We only had about 3 - 4 inches this time, but the darn wind kept closing roads!! I didn't even go to work because of it.

It's rare that it doesn't all melt away off trees in a few hours. Actually looked that way this morning too.
