Let's see, first off, yes, Kate Hewlett has a guest role on the CTVC/CBS drama, FLASHPOINT! She tweeted today:

@katehewlett I get to be an uptight fiancee, a bitchy pregnant woman and a wounded mom all in one day. Acting rocks.

and the co-creator of Flashpoint tweeted today as well:

@Flashpoint_TV Great read through today. Terrific guest cast including @katehewlett

Now if CBS can get off their duff and give us Flashpoint again down here in the States. I love that show!!

Stonehenge Apocalypse will premiere in June on SyFy. You go "What? Another dreadful CGI monster flick?" Well, yes, but Torri Higginson is in it (despite the lack of her name in the press releases). For those who must know the plot: When the giant stones of Stonehenge begin to move and cataclysms occur all over the earth, only a fringe radio talk show host who’s an expert in UFOlogy figures out that the ancient monument is really alien technology. Yeah, sounds... just like the title *cough* ;)

Meanwhile, some nice press on Jason Momoa and the Conan the Barbarian movie (besides the 'he's awful pretty to be Conan" using an old Baywatch picture). http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/GulfCoastAvengers/news/?a=16478 says ....  Patrice Louinet who has studied, worked on and edited the works of Conan creator Robert E. Howard for decades, was able to take a look at some Conan set pictures belonging to Fredrik Malmberg Conan's producer.

Here is what he had to say (In translated text).....

"Got to see Fredrik Malmberg, who showed me a few pics - pre CGI - of Jason Momoa as Conan. Despite this, these pics were enough to convince me a bit more that Momoa is an excellent Conan, as far as his looks is concerned. He is very close to the character as described by Howard: he is hairy, dark, scarred and muscular yet lithe, devoid of the body-builder physique syndrome. Really impressive. More, Momoa has taken the Howard books with him, often reading a few passages for himself before shooting to get into his character."

And drat, no news on Joe Flanigan. Gah, I want him to get a new series, or a really great movie (cuz at this rate, I not holding out at all for any SG1 or SGA movies). David Hewlett finished his directorial debut of some unnamed scifi movie for SyFy which has 'evil snow monkeys' but that could just as easily be a pet name. Filmed in snowy Bulgaria, although he could have stayed in the States and filmed cheaper what with all the snow we've had here. Nothing new on Rachel Luttrell. I wish she'd put out a CD...

I am starting to get a bit worried and just a little desperate over the lack of news on Joe......

**NODS**
Me too......the unfortunate thing is La La land forgets
quickly.......My cousin Jerry, who was a set designer for years
at Universal and then became a free agent, mentioned how important it was for them to stay in the limelight, otherwise
Hollywood quickly forgets.
I recently saw Public Enemies and thought how
I would love to see Joe in something directed by Michael Mann.
I have seen so many films etc. where I thought how great he would be in the various roles..........I am so hopeful he snags a series on TNT **we know drama** or USA etc. I think network tv is the drudges. Writing on cable series is so much better. Last night I saw Southland, which I really like and it is stuff like that which he needs, something he can bite into.
I think he needs to throw his hat in the ring wherever he sees
a film which is in the works.

".....devoid of the body-builder physique syndrome."

**APPLAUDS***
It has been my hope that he would NOT reflect the UGLINESS of
the earlier film.......it was not body building as body building does not automatically spell BULK like Schwarzenhegger reflected in the earlier film......He looked more like he belonged on WWC, or whatever it is called, where they are all on steriods, something that I would never want to see Jason do.

I'm so excited to see Jason as Conan :D

But I'm getting antsy about Joe. Do we even know when A Good Day for It is coming out? Come on, Joe! Be in something! I kind of wish I could write a script for him. Fanficcers unite and write a show for Joe to be in! :D *Sigh* No harm in dreaming...

Hmm, don't know, but I'll guess the movie will probably be out next year, since it usually takes a year. I wonder if it is theatrical or DVD? I'd love if it were theatrical and well, it ended up somewhere I could see it!

was watching the tv show, Human Target and there was Peter Grodin!! or, the actor who played him. and no accent. was kind of disappointing, the lack of accent.
So David Nykl and now Peter Grodin. Can Kavan Smith be far behind?

Joe

As many of us I've some worries about Joe. It's been one and half year SGA was cancelled and he only got a guest part in WH13 and small part in GDFI( it would seem he is not even listed by the prods.
As Sharpes hussy said it's important to stay in the limelight, otherwise the entertainment world forgets you quickly.
We're in April by now and I don't think we have some chance to see him in some series in 2010 cos the greenlight are given at the end of the last year and the shows renewed or new series are shootted now.
So I've some worries. I miss Joe. I really hope he will get a new lead role in series.
