Stargate Atlantis Action Figure Theater number., er, well, al new one!
It’s been a while since I’ve done an Action Figure Theater, but a weird idea, lack of sleep, and presto, I did one! In fact, this was plastered on my door as a door decoration at MediaWest*Con 30, and it won for Best Technical, which is probably because I cut out a lot of little ballons for dialogue ;) But I was happy to hear people laughing at the door.
Once again, chockfull of graphics. And, in one box you’ll see the name Meijers. This was done specifically for MW*C attendees. Meijers is a Midwestern type Walmart store – you can basically anything there. It’s a mecca for MW*C fans upon arrival.
The guys haven’t had much to do since the writers drop-kicked them back to Earth in that rather rushed series finale, so, you know the old phrase, the devil finds time for idle hands ;)
A disclaimer before proceeding… since this was taped to a door, and the dialogue balloons were cut out and taped on as well, I took photos of those masterpieces instead of trying to do balloons in a photoshopping type package, which I can’t do, as I haven’t gotten around to loading it to the PC yet. So you’ll have to do with technical effects that rival the movies you see on the SyFy Channel! ;)

And here’s what the door looked like:
Hope you enjoyed it :) !
P.S. Cute pink alien critter procured at http://www.etsy.com/shop/nicholetopley?section_id=6936718 and squeezable stuffed octopus procured from http://estesark.com/.

Those lightbulbs were fantastic!
As for the cat litter, my figures once also had to suffer being in "desert" sand which actually was sand out of the rabbit box of my friend - I mean used sand. And AFTER we were finished and she was about to put it back in, she said, nah, I will give him fresh sand. Couldn't we have used the fresh sand and then she gave it to her bunny? LOL
Oh, you have a Dalek! I have bought several Dr. Who and Torchwood figures recently. Have you seen any of my entries?

And that Megaoctopi sounds indeed like a movie, reminded me of "Shark Attack 3 - Megalodon" LOL
That door looks so good! So, it is customary at this con that everybody decorates his door? I would love doing something like this in Vancouver, but am afraid of getting thrown out the hotel... ;) But I love your old fashioned technic! Nothing wrong with a little handwork.
And just a PS: I gave your post on

Date: 2010-06-13 10:40 pm (UTC)MediaWest*Con has a tradition of decorating doors. The hotel has been nice and allows it (as long as low-tack tape is used). Yeah, I'd be worried about doing a door at a Creation Con cuz it might get removed!
Thanks for the tag :)
