Saw this image the other day and its no less hideous on second viewing. I guess its some kind of computer generated image or just the 'shop from hell but its just so overly polished which is not the look I want them to be going for. I want a gritty, dirty Conan - you should be able to practically smell the blood and sweat - what I don't want is a glorified shampoo commercial.
I think this movie is something of a risk for Jason, if it turns out half decent then it really could rocket his career, there's definitely a gap in the market when it comes to muscle bound action heroes these days. But if the film turns out to be really bad (stilted dialogue, campy performances, cheap production) then it could really damage his chances of being taken seriously as an actor. I think what may help him is that most people seem to have very low expectations for this, they're expecting it to be awful.

If that's supposed to be a sixpack, they got it at an unfortunate angle - I'm getting mpreg vibes... 3) now I'm curious - what is he wearing under his kilt-thing, a second pinned-together-in-the-middle kilt-thing? (he's not wearing it the traditional Scottish way, obv. *g*)
I really think this is just a take off of Frank Franzetta's art/book covers. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the picture is a Franzetta work with Jason's face used for the Conon effect.
