Joe Flanigan - The Other Side - a couple new photos

Because you never know, gerbils could chew the wires and meltdown the servers holding photos, etc. for "The Other Side" at http://rhitv.com/in-production/the-other-side that they should be duplicated elsewhere, just in case. Besides, there's no such thing as a bad photo of Joe Flanigan, at least not that I've seen! So here are a couple...


Our hero, Colonel Sam Synn... Oh, I keep wondering who devises these names.  When I see Synn, I think Simms and think of Sims and that create your own world thing, which I think has been replaced by Farmville on Facebook.

 
And they're (a) waiting for the #2 bus, (b) reacting to some as yet-to-be-made CGI monster, or (c) gawking at a truck with "Guinness Beer" plastered on side going down the road. I vote for "c" considering Joe's expression...

I also think guy in red tie is a red-shirt. Someone's gotta die, after all, this is a SyFy movie!

I am a fan of Joe Flanigan and look forward to seeing him in The Other Side in 2011 and also hope to see him in more movies and hopefully in another tv show as a regular.

Oh...I normally hate the SyFy made-for-tv movies, but for some reason, I have a really strong desire to watch this one. Hmmm...wonder why?

I am strangely attracted to SyFy movies, although if they don't have an actor I want to see, I usaully don't watch, but I will watch this movie even if the monster is a badly CGIed giant moth with dandruff, cuz it's got Joe Flanigan in it! ;)

It's funny what triggers memories. When I first read JF's characters name I immediately flashed to a (very brief) Disney series back in the 60's called The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh and Dr. Syn, played by Patrick McGoohan. Dr. Syn was a 18th century clergyman who moonlighted as a rather scary vigilante/Robin Hood-type character who dressed up like a scarecrow. I loved it and had a huge crush on McGoohan, which he was kind enough to feed with Secret Agent and The Prisoner.

Thanks so much for more pics. I'm not usually very interested in Syfy movies, at least not anymore (they're never as much fun as they look in the previews - oh for the days of Boa vs. Python lol). However, this one and Red with Kavan Smith? I'm there, they've got my attention. I hope they both get really high numbers, just so Syfy and TPTB get a poke about the popularity of the SG folk. (Mean? I don't think so. ;))

Would be cool if the movies with SGA actors were tops in ratings, although I think Sharktopus will go high just for the sheer badness of it.
