Okay, I'm supposing Yahoo is going to toast the Delicious bookmarks, which makes me cringe as I haven't been bookmarking all the storise atsga_newsletterbut instead are using their bookmarks at http://www.delicious.com/sga_newsletter/Fanfic%3AGen, for one, to read fanfic. Is there a way to import ALL the bookmarks off their account? I mean, the gen one alone has, um, gasp, 300 pages?!
I've been following the metafandom discussion on this. Last I heard, Delicious will be kept around in one form or another. Either sold off, possibly, or turned into an open source project.
The two big alternatives that people are using are Diigo and Pinboard. I've backed up all my links to both of these and they seem to work ok. Diigo is free, Pinboard is a one time registration fee of $9.20-ish (price is dependent on number of users, so more users=price goes up a bit).I paid for for Pinboard, but it's slogan is "anti-social bookmarking" and it's kind of set-up to reflect that. I use delicious to search for fic too, so I really didn't like that aspect of it. I think Diigo is better, on the whole. Complaints include no tagging bundles, the description may or may not have a shorter word limit, and sometimes funky things happen when your tags have certain symbols. You can read up on more of all of this at:

I think Diigo works well, and it's free, if you still want to go ahead and back-up your bookmarks. The website has instructions on how to import your own bookmarks from delicious. Good luck!
I'm also seeing that you want to get someone else's bookmarks. You probably need to get the maintainer to export the html file and send it to you? That's the only way I can think of that it would work.
