Woot! Trailer for Joe Flanigan's THE OTHER SIDE!

*flails* RHI Entertainment has put up a trailer for Joe Flanigan's THE OTHER SIDE movie, the one he made in Ireland, the one Syfy will eventually air, most likely under the name THE ALIEN ABYSS according to SyFy folk on Twitter. But anyway, here's the trailer. Is Joe channeling John Sheppard or what? Also,  there are some sorta spoilerish scenes (typical these days).

And it's STILL set in forest that looks remarkably like those found in British Columbia! These wacky alien world/dimensions - so reassuringly predictable.

The trailer amazes me because at the LA con Joe said he conspired with the director to make the movie really funny. JF said when the studio saw the director's cut, they whined, "where is our movie?" so I hope they didn't cut out all the funny bits, because this looks darn serious :)

Love how one of the big named actors in the movie, John Rhys Davies seems to buy it very early on. Kind of shades of Police Squad, where the big name guest star would die before the opening credits. As I recall, William Shatner choked to death eating dinner at a restaurant, and then the credits began and the show.

Looks like it might be fun. Some of SyFy's movies are awful, but if you watch with two people, you can rip them apart (the movie, that is)

I hope it will be out on DVD in Wal-mart as well. I look forward to seeing it April 9 and then Spores when it comes on SyFy. I also hope to see him in other movies.
