R.I.P. Andy Whitfield

I turn on the computer this morning to check the news and twitter, and it's just seconds before I find out that Andy Whitfield ("Spartacus") lost his battle against non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. He leaves behind a wife, two small children and a sister.

Ah, sigh. Sooo darned sad. I'd been worried that this cancer was aggressive because they'd cleared him at one point but then said it had come back. When cancer comes back that fast.... :(

Just extremely sad news for someone to die at such an age. NHL can be such an aggressive illness - my mother was lucky to have seven years between her recurrence, but once it came back... *sigh*

I was glad to read that he died on a sunny day, surrounded by his family. Exactly how it should be if it must happen.

More than anything, my thoughts are with his wife, kids and family right now.

Yup, if you pass on surrounded by your loved ones and with good weather...

I'll probably die with the cat planting his butt on my face, but I'm sure it's his way of expressing affection...

Yeah, the cat will probably kill me. He's going blind (catarats). So he'll probably trip me down the steps. He's tried it before! ;)
