See, this is how rumors get started, so read on :)

David Hewlett said on his Twitter last night.... "Flanigan has an iPhone...I hate him...the first film he's watching on it...A Dog's Breakfast! I hate him marginally less now ;-)"

Ah, boys and their toys. Although seriously, I would have thought Hewlett the self-avowed geek would have had one instantly, but then again I'm sure Jane probably said "we're going to Hawaii and not standing in line for a dumb cellphone."

And the poor guy hasn't seen Harry Potter yet? Aw.......... Even I managed to get out to see that (and it was a very fun film and I can see Daniel Radcliffe becoming the next Christian Bale in acting talent). In fact, I went to a matinee going, okay, I'll brave the kids, but to my surprise, it was a little over a dozen people, all adults! I don't think families realized there was a 10 a.m. Sunday matinee, or else they were at the beach or the parents went "ten o'clock in the morning, are you nuts?!" to the kids ;)

Wish I had ordered my Potter novel from deepdiscount now (smacks self for not thinking of that) as apparently some orders went out early. I ordered through Barnes and Noble and hope to have it Saturday, otherwise I'll be spending days avoiding the news as by noon on the 21st, someone will toss out a spoilerish review on the regular news, I'm sure...

Deep Discount is being sued now because of that. I doubt any of the buyers will be effected, as it wasn't thier fault they got it early, but they mailers seriously misjudged mailing time. I know Amazon mails things out early so it get to you the day of, but not that early.

Erg. I don't even want to think about TV reviews right now. I stopped watching them after someone did a review of SWII and got several facts wrong when they were saying how much it sucked. like they called Padme Princess Amidala which she never was. She was Queen and then Senater. Maybe just Padme for a few months. I think the only time she was princess was pre movie I and that's only in the books they wrote about everyone as kids.

I can't believe I'm still so annoyed by that review all these years later.

Oh yes, heard about poor deepdiscount. Heck, my copy of HP is currently in state (sent by UPS), so, if I'm really lucky, I'll have it tomorrow.

May you have it tomorrow then:)

My friend managed to download the whole book the other day and has given me a summery of it till the point where she stopped reading to do other things that needed to be done. the first 222 pages and already I'm itching to do a fanfic on one of the thingsshe mentioned but I'm not going to do anything till I know someone will be able to read it without being spoiled.

Yeah, I heard the book was being downloaded but I love hardcopy books. I never bought any of the other HP books till they hit trade paperback; just a size issue, but for the last one, I caved and bought the hardback... here's hoping UPS knocks on the door tomorrow (since I have the day off).

Hardbacks have a special feel to them. I love having hardback copies of my favorites.

Good luck:)

Well, paper for me. I find fanfic online that's good, I print it to read. Spend all day on the PC at work so don't want to read online at home.

I like to do that when I edit, makes it easier to read. I used to print fanfics but I tend to use too much ink with other projects that using them to print out fanfics kinda got too much. I have a friend though who had five inch binders full of fanfiction that she kept up in her bedroom. I think she had three at last count.

I have so many that I would probably have to rent a room if I printed them all out. In fact that's what I'm doing right now...I'm trying to organize my favorites folder so I can find things better...and delete the copy favorites that I had as I pasued in a story or what not. I bet about 4/5ths of my favorites are all fanfic.
