Okay, a whole of links relating to Comic-Con - with Stargate Atlantis and Stargate SG-1 links

Not a Comic-Con panel, but an interview with Torri Higginson from Polaris, which took place over the July 4th timeframe in Toronto.  at http://skyscans.blogspot.com/2007/07/of-klingons-and-quasars_30.html. You can download the 10 minute video from that site. Torri appears at the 8:16 minute mark. Interview is about 2-3 minutes talking about science fiction concepts.

Gonna put all the newly found links, etc. under the cut as I'm posting photos too.

SWAG (aka freebies): After searching eBay, it seems lucky fans got to glom onto Stargate Atlantis/Stargate SG-1 freebies from the SciFi or MGM booth or both, whatever, and some folks are making a quick buck on eBay…

http://www.savecarsonbeckett.com/2007/07/29/carson-fans-make-waves-at-comic-con/ - excerpt from the Save Carson Beckett (aka Paul McGillion's character) folk: "The Stargate panels were scheduled for 12:15 pm in the huge, 5000-seat Hall 20 on Friday. We had several hours in the hall before things would get underway, so we had time to hand out our 100 "See You Jimmy" hats and 700 Scottish flags adorned with Carson stickers. We worried we'd have to do some hard selling to get people to wear the hats, but in truth they were snapped up in 5 minutes." - click on http://www.savecarsonbeckett.com/gallery/index.php?cat=10 for their Comic Con photo gallery with photos of Joe Flanigan, David Hewlett, Amanda Tapping, Jewel Staite and more.

http://www.tvsquad.com/2007/07/29/comic-con-reflecting-on-the-con/ - Comic-Con: Reflecting on the Con. Excerpt: "Early information about film and television projects is treated like a state secret despite the fact that the admission of those secrets has been carefully orchestrated to increase their value and transform them into the stuff of viral marketing dreams."  No, nothing on SG but interesting to read.

http://www.critictoo.com/fabien/?p=88 - relevant portion of his French blog translated via Babelfish: "As regards the Stargate frankness, nothing of nine. The new series is quite in hand, there would be a history of ninth rafter, but there still, nothing precise. It is a little as usual with the producers of these series, they still did not understand that to give a little information, it was not badly. In any event, one learns some more on Internet than while attending their press conference." But, check out the two photos - 1) Jewel Staite, David Hewlett, Amanda Tapping, and 2) Ben Browder, Amanda Tapping, Chris Judge! Also, Sanctuary coverage at http://www.critictoo.com/fabien/?p=5

Oooh, big fat report at http://liketheriverrun.livejournal.com/15104.html - photos of the SG1 and SGA folk, the MGM booth and lots of text! And it's only part one! And yes, this one talks about the SGA season 4 that-must-not-be-discussed trailer, so SPOILERS FOR SEASON 4.

I'm just going to be shallow and repeat what someone said on Joe M's blog..if they want ratings then make Joe wear that white shirt on the show.....GUH!

And the jeans!

Um sorry, just love that first pic and seeing the two casts together like that.

Sigh

Boy, I really liked that bus, too. Well, the photos. Wasn't at the con, alas.

I'm a definite fan of the white shirt(drools). I was suprised in the group pic that he had the shirt tucked in his pants, nice and neat. I wonder who did that for him? LOL!

Oooh, new pics. Thanks for sharing the links.

And yes, I totally agree with [livejournal.com profile] kristen999 - they should get Joe to wear that outfit on the show.

Psssst. Your foreign site is Korean...

Ah, thanks! I'm afraid all Chinese-Korean-Japanese symbols sorta look alike to me ;)

Yes, white shirt. Definitely. And to be totally shallow, it should rain while he's wearing it ;)

Hi, I always see links to your lj from [livejournal.com profile] sga_newsletter and I follow and see what new stuff you have up. Your coverage on Comic Con has been fun to check out even though I was there.

As for the whole ebay thing, I find that hilarious. I didn't know they gave out the hats, but I guess I left before than. They did hand out shirts though. I'm surprised those aren't up on ebay.

Well, the less items up on eBay means the more went to acutal fans who will cherish 'em. I should check for shirts.

Ah, I gotta get to this con. It looks incredible.

Ha, this is true. They had both the SG-1 shirt and the SGA shirt. Oh and an Atlantis patch which I was not early enough to get. I can't believe people are selling that stuff on ebay, but at the same time, I figured as much.

Hewlett was there with Jane when they started handing out the SGA shirts. He asked if they needed help, but the workers said no.

It's a pretty cool experience. I say every SG (or really Scifi/anime) fan should be able to experience it once in their lives.

I am now insanely jealous of those lucky people who snagged all the SGA snag! ;)

Just did a quick perusal of ebay and if they used stargate comic con in their ad, no t-shirts for sale. Yes, they went to fans, not people out to make a quick buck!

I was there andI'm still kind of jealous. You had to freaking stake out the MGM booth (which was way better than the SciFi booth, mainly because they were pretty solely focused on SGA and SG-1)

Awesome. That definitely makes me feel good. I wore my shirt yesterday and I was all happy about it.

Cool. Say, any chance you stick a picture of the shirt up on your LJ? Love to see what it looks like.

Sure, but it'll have to be after dinner :D ... I'll get it up as soon as possible.
