Over a dozen new links to photos, reports and more on the Stargate SG-1/Atlantis folk at Comic-Con on July 28-29, 2007. Here are the first links:

http://flickr.com/photos/auntiec/991741147/  has a photo of the Stargate Atlantis water booth poster. Worth noticing is the cast lineup on the poster… and visit http://flickr.com/photos/auntiec/sets/72157601192093036/  for Friday convention photos. You’ll see a collection of Joe Flanigan and David Hewlett shots from the autograph

Meanwhile, go to the cut below for the rest of the articles :)

http://duffy-99.livejournal.com/43304.html has several photos of Joe Flanigan and David Hewlett at the autograph table.

http://greymattre.livejournal.com/145099.html – besides photos of zombies lurching about at the con, you’ll find a shot of Ben Browder with his hand up a Muppet ;) Text on the ‘gates: “Besides those mentioned above we also went to the Stargate and Stargate Atlantis panels and were richly rewarded with goofiness and juicy news about the series.”

http://www.alanirwin.com/blog/2007/08/02/san-diego-comic-con-2007-day-2/ - One of their new projects is called Puppet Up!. It’s an improv show using puppets where you can watch the puppeteers doing their craft. A video camera captures the standard puppet show view and displays it on the big monitors. But, watching the live puppeteers provides another level of entertainment. It was amazing to watch. And then they added a sci-fi component! They brought in Ben Browder an audience volunteer for an improv piece. Go to URL for photo. http://www.alanirwin.com/blog/2007/08/03/san-diego-comic-con-2007-day-3/ - “One of the differences on Saturday is that it’s heavily booked with presentations by the big movie and TV studios. Although I didn’t attend any of the presentations, I will admit to standing in line to get a few autographs. This is Amanda Tapping, one of the stars from the Stargate franchise” Go to URL for photo.

http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=11380 has an in-depth breakdown of the Babylon 5 panel. No mention of Teryl Rothery, but if you’re a B5 fan, check it out.

A few posts from one fan:

http://winter-elf.livejournal.com/48003.html  – Day one- SGA swag

http://winter-elf.livejournal.com/48198.html  – Day two: Stargate overload

http://winter-elf.livejournal.com/48614.htm l – Day three: Sanctuary/Amanda Tapping

which culminates with one very nice photo of both Joe Flanigan and David Hewlett at the autograph table at http://winter-elf.livejournal.com/48888.html

http://christinedabo.com/blog/?p=283 has a few photos - #8 – Scifi’s booth, #12-13 SGA panel shots off screen

http://starhunter.blogspot.com/2007/07/these-are-my-observations-from-comic.html  – “MGM had a unique gimmick to promote Stargate: Atlantis. The water bottles that were sold at the concession stands inside the convention ctr were relabeled as official Stargate:Atlantis water. The label had the cast pictures and the location of their booth which were handing some interesting swag among them a cheap flashlight keychain, a henna tattoo of T'ealc's forehead brand, and gifts like Steph's autograph cap.” And “For the first time, the convention shuttle buses had those ads plastered on their sides advertising the release of the Stargate movies coming out on dvd, .. “ This person also noted The con drew 27,000 more fans this year than last from 123,000 to 150,000. Yikes!

http://jadexanadu.livejournal.com/1572.html: “Stargate/Stargate Atlantis: These panels were back to back, and are always fun to attend. They playfulness of the panelists with each other and the audience is always great. Though, they aren't big on giving out information. They run a trailer at the beginning of the panel, and then just jump into questions from the audience. I was 15 minutes late to Stargate SG-1, since it overlapped Shonen Jump, but it apparately started late and I only missed the trailer. The two direct to DVD movies will be out in the Fall 07 and then Spring 08. The Atlantis panel was filled with much of the same hi-jinks as SG-1, as half the panelists and most of the audience stayed for it.”

http://majorsamfan.livejournal.com/275900.html – Fan accounting of the con and attending the panels. Also notes may add a photo of Teryl Rothery later.

http://quantum-gazebo.livejournal.com/287436.html has posted a handful of photos from the panels. Oh, just 400 shots from the SG-1 panel!!

http://dragontamerno3.livejournal.com/172262.html#cutid1 posts about the aggravations of the ticket lottery for Stargate autographs.

http://dwthndr.spaces.live.com/ has put up some slightly fuzzy but unique shots of the SG1 panel. Because of the limitations of their camera and distance from stage, you can actually see what the room looked like, which is sorta cool. Has slideshows for each day of the con.

http://flickr.com/photos/heathbar/ has put up photos from the panels.

Shots of SGA actors schmoozing with press?

http://flickr.com/photos/auntiec/981304168/ is a good overall shot of the SGA booth. There are posters for SGA, SG-1 the movie(s) and A Dog’s Breakfast.

http://flickr.com/photos/mimmo/993605976/ - David Hewlett signing at the A Dog’s Breakfast table

http://monanotlisa.livejournal.com/612235.html?mode=reply has several Comic-Con themed SGA Livejournal icons

http://www.gateworld.net/blogs/moriah/index.shtml has coverage of several days of the con.

http://nunshavingfun.livejournal.com/287280.html has photos, text and more on the convention experience and you can see what an autographed SGA poster looks like. SCB coverage as well.

Thank you so much for all these links you've done! It's been fantastic seeing what other con-goers got out of the weekend.

I've put a few things up so far and will hopefully be putting up lots more this weekend, all under the Comic Con 2007 (http://girly-curl-3.livejournal.com/tag/comicon+2007) tag if you'd like to include in your list.

ooh, so many links. Thanks. So far I went only the the SGA Water poster link. It's very cool, except... The stargate is wrong! They should have put in a pegasus galaxy stargate one, not the milky way one. :-)

*tries not to HATE that new poster*.... Yea.. I noticed who's missing (Weir) from the poster.

*tries not to HATE Tapping's mug on new poster*. You know, Season 4 is going to have to KICK SOME ASS in a fantastic way and be all sorts of F'KNG GOOD for me to make it to Season 5, or even to make it to the end of Season 4; for what the producers are doing, it'll have to rock my world for me to continue watching the show. I love Flanigan, but he's only half as good without Higginson added to Sheppard's dynamic. If we get ANY MORE SG1 people as permanent fixtures in SGA... I'm gone.

Losing Higginson is so not fair. *tries not to hate producers... and fails*

Well, alas, Torri is gone, Amanda is in, and that's the way it is. I truly hope that season 4 is, in your words, kickass, as otherwise, no, there won't be a season 5. It's going up against the fall premieres of many network shows, and is already being shuffled in the timeslots.

Isn't it slotted for Friday nights at 9 pm central standard time? That seems a pretty good place to be as Friday nights, even in the regular networks is usually a wasteland. I recall several cereal-type shows last Fall that died before they got four episodes out. It was a very strange Fall for TV.

You know, I don't wish the show ill, Flanigan is just too damn hot to lose. However, he's gotten some really good press as the only reason that show's made it this far, so not matter the outcome, he'll bounce.

Again, I truly hope it's the best season ever, even with the loss of Weir. They've managed, since its pilot episode, to make each season better than the previous. So I have high hopes, but I firmly believe retreading SG1 characters (perhaps to get the SG1 fanbase on board) over to Atlantis is the way to go about it. Who's coming next? Shanks? Browder? *shrug*

Well, I'll be watching... with one eye closed, when September comes. We shall see. Also, I apologize for always unleashing my angst over what's yet to happen on your LJ. You possess the patience of Job, me thinks. ;D

I agree with you 100 percent. I don't think I'll watch it at all, apart from Torri's eps.

Carter is my least favourite character in the franchise. With her in, I'm not exactly interested.

Oops.. correcting my mistakes.. LOL; Meant to say, '..but I firmly believe retreading SG1 characters (perhaps to get the SG1 fanbase on board) over to Atlantis is NOT the way to go about it.'

Then again, I suspect you knew what I meant. All the same, I shivered when I read my own type..*shiver* And yet again.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble wading through the internet to put together the links for Comic Con. It was both helpful and very much appreciated. Thanks, again.

That poster depresses me. No Beckett. No Weir. And damned Sam Carter.
