Just wrapped 5 years of Atlantis...very sad. I have never worked with such a wonderful cast, crew and audience. Thank you and goodnight!

To look on the positive side of things, think of how many projects all of the cast will be working on. David's been writing on at least eleventy billion scripts, so it's highly likely he'll cast some of the SGA cast in those projects.

I'm also crossing my fingers that a lot of familiar faces show up in the Judge/Shanks project, Rage of Angels. We may not be able to play Stargate Actor Bingo with that one, because it would be like shooting fish in a barrel. *g*

Yeah, can hope for that, but still, I love the characters. As much as I enjoy watching the actors, I really liked the SGA characters. But I sure hope as heck they all get great jobs after this.

I had one minor happy thought occur to me while reading that -- maybe now the actors will have time to do commentaries for the season 5 DVDs?

Oh David....this makes me so very, very sad. All of the actors have commented about how the cast and crew are like one big family, so I'm sure its going to be hard for all of them when they film their last scene. Sniffle.

I know acting is a transitory profession, but it must be soooo tough for all of them to lose this (not to mention, the steady paycheck!). To find a place of work where you totally enjoy going, that's rare.

Despite the protestations of several on my lj ("I've only ever written for dead fandoms" "the fandom will be around for years"), I'm already noticing the cutback. Fics from my regular sources have dropped off tremendously. I used to see 10-15 a week. Since the announcement, it's been one every day or so. Except for some 300-500 word stories.

It's only natural. Many people are in mourning. I wish it was because I thought they were all writing letters and sending lemons.

I'm sure there are plenty of fics still out there--it's just that they're already not being written by many of my favorite authors. I guess I can only be sad and say, "I told me so." Sigh.

Yeah, I'm always looking for more fic, and I hope that the authors are writing MGM, mourning the loss, doing schoolwork, or just waiting to see what happens. I really need to write some fic myself but haven't done any in too long. Need to get back in the saddle.

Ahhhh :( That makes me very very sad. :( I'll grant you that I haven't always been so happy with show developments, but that doesn't mean I'll soon forgive them for killing this show. The writing may not have always been so great, but they had a awesome cast. :(
