So, not sure where the shot fits in, but in looking at it, go, okay, they're all basically alive, but hey... where's Radek? Lorne? Chuck? Since when does the female gate tech join 'em? Ah, probably TPTB's idea since Mallozz is rather enamored with pretty actresses ;) Now if someone can just photoshop out the woman and insert Zelenka and/or Lorne, and wow, Rodney and Keller (who's now a blonde?!) sure seem cozy.

Wow, alot of Keller bashing going on. I don't understand why. I love reading McShep in fandom, but in cannon, no why will that ever happen. And I would have enjoyed seeing Rodney with someone that he cares for enough to challenge Ronon for her attention. Rodney had stated in Miller's Crossing that he was ready to love someone, marry and have kids (to pass on his genes). I perfer Keller to the first girlfriend that he had. To me, it's no worse seeing Rodney with someone as it is seeing John with several other women, so long as it does not take away from the Team, I'm good with it.

I know what you're saying, I really do, but in my opinion McKeller in season 5 DID take away from the team. It felt rushed to me and silly and time consuming (and I'm also speaking about eps that haven't aired yet) whereas the team as a whole was noticeably absent. I mean, honestly, episode thirteen of season 4, McKay's proposing to Katie Brown and in episode 6 of season 5 he's telling a different woman he's "...loved her for a very long time?" I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

I miss my Shep and McKay interaction this season - nothing much after The Shrine -- and I hate that Keller gets three episodes to Shep's one, when really, I'd rather see him or Ronon or Teyla. Sadly, Rodney's episodes seem to be tied up with Keller so there's not much room for anyone else.

I detest the stupid "love traingle" concept of teammates vying for the same woman. Also,I've come to loathe the McKeller "hints" thrown into episodes like The Seed and Outsiders just to make sure viewers can't ignore it even if they wanted too!

I feel this entire season revolved around McKeller and it really bugs me.

I too wish for more John and Rodney scenes, I think they have grown really close through the years and wish they would write more about that, but again more as friends and brothers than lovers, that is for fandom (and oh how I love to read them!)not for TV.
I think that Rodney started looking at Keller in a more romantic way since season's 4 episode Trio. So for a "long time now" could be, remember we don't really know how much time passes between episodes.
I don't really think that season 5 has had alot of McKeller, of the 11 epsiodes aired so far, I really only remember a few scenes in 4 episodes -The Seed, The Shrine (alot in that one), Tracker, and First Contact. But all 4 of those also had alot of Team in them as well. It does look like more McKeller is on the horizon what with Brain Storm coming up.
Do I like Keller? Meh...I much prefer Carson, but she is the Head of Medicine and so will be in alot of episodes. I do like her for Rodney, I think their cute together and can see her with Rodney not with Ronon.
I liked the "love traingle" because we got to see Rodney and Ronon interact a little more than usual, so that was one good thing. I don't think it was really an issue, I can only remember 3 episodes that dwelt on it, Tracker and First Contact and the end of The Lost Tribe where Keller told Ronon she was interested in someone else.

I guess there will always be those who like McKeller and those who don't.
I just wish TPTB hadn't canceled the show!!

No problem on the name!! Usually we don't know how much time passes in between episodes that's true. But in this case we have a very accurate idea of the timeline because Teyla's nine month pregnancy made sure of it!

Teyla was pregnant in Quarantine, episode 13 where McKay was all set to spend his life with Katie Brown. She was still pregnant in Trio a couple eps later where as you say McKay took an interest in Keller. Search and Rescue picked up immediately after The Last Man. So honestly, when did this "I've loved you for a very long time" have time to occur?"

It feels ridiculous to me and rushed and stupid. McKay looks more like her father than a potential boyfriend. Brainstorm makes me cringe. And, oh, don't forget Identity.

I guess you see a lot of the team somewhere this season and I don't! And I place most of the blame for that on McKeller. And hey, maybe if they took away a Keller show like that useless sounding Identity, and gave Shep another one I wouldn't feel so bitter. As for the show being cancelled, it made me unbearably sad at first but the thought of a season 6 of McKeller has made it a heck of a lot easier to say goodbye!

I loved discussing this with you! I've gone back to rewatch some episodes, so that's good! I hope it's not bad form to keep this thread going in someone's else site? If it is, please accept my apologies Waithfolder!
As for Teyla's prenancy..good point! So between Trio (416) and Search and Resuce (501)..maybe 1 month has passed and between then and The Shrine (516) when Rodney says "I love for some time now"(rewatched one of my favorite episodes!)..maybe a few more months? Can't tell the age of baby Torren.
As for the 6th season, who knows what would have happened, it could have been that Keller gets sick from the Hoffen disease and leaves and Carson could have been back, which is what I would have loved!!
I wish we would have gotten a chance to find out!
Anyway, this could go on forever...so I end it now and say thanks for the discussion, it was fun and hope your not upset with me. No hard feelings!

Keller doesn't do much for me, even though I do like the actresss. I don't care if ROdney and Keller date, but I don't want it to be a focal point of an episode. leave it in the background as a line here, a line there, but I don't want to see them out on a date, becuase, well, it's boring and there's so much more to do in the pegasus galaxy ;)

Poor (or I guess lucky) that she ended up with Mckay rather than Ronon. But poor Ronon, you could tell that he was bummed in the episode...which one was it, The Outsider, I think, can't remember....it would have been an interesting pairing.

Though it looked like Keller developed feelings for McKay way back in The Shrine when he admitted he loved her.
